EPTThe first two days of competition at IEM Shenzhen are in the books and the round of four is set to kick off tomorrow.
Group A saw favourite StrifeCro advance 2-0 along with the Chinese representative XiaoSoul. In Group B, the solo westerner Rdu also advanced 2-0 accompanied by Hong Kong's JackyChan (probably not the actor). Group C saw the biggest upset of the tournament thus far as Jeanno from Hong Kong took the first place slot with Massan coming in second. The true upset of the group, however, was Gnimsh failing to advance. Group D brought the status quo back as Amaz breezed through 2-0 with Tawain's Azeri in second.
The bracket stage got off to a quick start with StrifeCro unfortunately falling 0-3 to Azeri and Jeanno defeating JackieChan 3-1. Amaz kept his streak of top four or better finishes alive with a 3-0 over Massan. Rdu was the last player to advance in what ended up being the closest match of the day 3-2 over XiaoSoul.
