Best rare was Goblin Auctioneer with other choices some pirate guy and bad spells. All my games lost due to late game illidan/onyxia/alexstrasza/ysera drops. So yes the legendaries all finished me off. I feel the game is unfair in that manner and in effect has turned me off from participating in as much hearthstone as i originally intended. I only play about once a week rather than every day like I used to since arenas seem to give me poor drafts vs time invested for gold to lose in an arena. =[ It feels bad sometimes when you dont get what you want but just watch Trump/Kripp/Ekop streams when they play arena and still go 8 or 9 wins almost every time regardless. Sometimes you get non-optimal luck and draft but it comes down to skill in the end. If they can do it you can with some practice.

I have a very good feeling about my third arena venture. 2-0 up so far. Swipe is good card, right? :D ![]()

Then after it I went to play Priest again. What happens? I get almost only 1-3 mana cards to choose, not a single Holy Nova, Mind Control, Shadow Word Pain etc... That deck was so terrible that I almost gave up before I even started. (I have not that much playing experience, but I've watched like 50h of Trump, haha)

1. Innervate 3 drop 2. Innervate 4 drop 3. Coin 4 drop. Fuck my life.... Edit: Retired at 8-2. Mind Control Tech + Ancient Brewmaster is way too much fun.

Edit: Retired at 8-2. Mind Control Tech + Ancient Brewmaster is way too much fun. I was thinking, it might be nice for the community as a whole if people start conceding at 8 wins instead of retiring if they're going to stop there. I started doing it and I figure it must make a few peoples days to have their arena runs extended for free.

At that point you are (in theory) playing against other people with 7/8 wins, so it wouldn't make that huge of a difference. I see your point though.

There is an important thing missing from this deck: CARD DRAW. The only card draw I have in the deck is Wrath (giving me a single card IF I choose to do 1 damage instead of 3). I find myself getting a great board position, and getting the opponent down to ~15 health, and then I just run out of cards! Woops. EDIT: died at 4-3, to a shaman with an absolutely insane deck I don't think I'd be able to take a win from given a 100 attempts.

First was Lock, don't get Lock much, but i had a lot of imps and a tonne of removal, and my curve was simply gorgeous. I was hitting imps, 2 drops, 3 drops, yetis, drakes. It felt amazing. Then i went Paladin and got 3 TS Champs, hammer, consecrate, pirates, Greenskin. Blessings. Dwarves. Again the curve felt amazing. Really felt like those were the two best decks i'd ever drafted. The one legit game i lost on the Paladin run was when my opponent hit a Frost Nova + Doomsayer. There was no coming back from that since it rendered my next turn completely useless and he could play on to an empty board. Brutal combo. Newfound respect for Arcane Golem too. 4/2 charge for 3 is nothing to laugh at, and i don't feel the Mana Crystal is as big a drawback as i had previously thought, even early in the game. All it is is extra mana which my opponent might not even get to use. It's not like it's card advantage, and if dropping the Golem improves my board state then i at least consider it even if it does help him out. Alongside a REPORTINGFORDUTY it can remove an annoying Lord of the Arena or whatever. I did drop it on a lot of dumb times. Like for instance it wouldn't been smarter to play a Yeti or a 2 drop + Tap/REPORTINGFORDUTY. Currently playing a Warlock deck with 7 imps and a bunch of other nonsense. I think my 0/1/2s make up half my deck. First game was brutally quick, i expect this to be my quickest run ever, regardless of win/loss.

First game against a priest. EDIT: Wow, what a game. Literally had a standoff for like 7 turns where I had a Ravenholm Assassin and explosive trap, which he guessed, and he had a Baine Bloodhoof with Taunt and a bunch of squishy 2 health minions. Fortunately I had way more health and drew a clutch Stranglethorn Tiger to end the game.

The funny thing is that I had the "play 40 spells" quest, which is usually bad in Arena... but not so hard with this deck: 3 PW shield, 3 SW Pain, 3 Holy Nova, 1 Shadowform (which won at least 4 games by itself), 1 Shadow Madness, 1 Holy Fire, 1 Mind Control. I had a useless Black Knight who didn't eat a single Taunt in 9 games, a bunch of crappy minions and the mana curve was terrible. In a couple of games I had 2 PW Shield in hand with no playable minions. I guess I got a bit lucky since I faced very few 4 power minions, but still, an amazing run. I won 2 games just by opening with Amani Berserker + PW Shield to kill my opponent's 3/2. Rewards: 1 pack, 250 gold, golden Shadowflame. And I'm back to over 70% winrate!

As a mage, I always end up with zero fireballs, flamestrikes, blizzards, polymorphs, cone of colds, frostbolts, etc or as a paladin, zero concentration and truesilvers. Just so much dumb luck in arena. I had an 8-3 arena run with mage having only 1 fireball and no other mage spells in deck. Also an 8-3 run with paladin with no consecrations or truesilvers. Sometimes you just have to pick value minions and make sure your curve works out.
