+ Show Spoiler + I fucking hate every metadeck. The decks I like have all dropped to tier 4. The amount of shitty rng in the game is unbelievable. Blizzard claimed that they'd introduce control tools to replace belcher, heal jbot, zombie chow, and deathlord. The replacements are awful, however, and naturally the best decks now are insanely fast, board oriented, or rely on some insane shit like fandral turgns, yogg, or call of the wild. The newest expansion only made it worse. They buffed aggressive/midrange shaman, zoo warlock, midrange hunter, and yogg Druid. Aka 5 of the best decks. They did absolutely nothing of value with paladin and priest - they are still bad and gimmicky. Rogue relies on shaman not existing. Warrior hasn't gotten significantly better and that was the only class that could consistently perform against Aggro shaman. Maybe I'll check back every month or so to see whether people have found a control deck that actually works against all the bullshit that's around. I think I'll get back to learning chess or Starcraft. At least with those games there's something to learn after each game. That is, there's no unit or move you can make that can completely invalidate the decisions and play made by both players before that point.

The game itself is 100% ure luck and matchup based. If you dont play a cancer deck then winning is basically impossible. Wild mode is at least decent with way more deck variety. Overall though, this game is really starting to fucking suck.

It's not the luck which is annoying me, it is the constant face or aggro decks, even at low ranks.

We've hit a critical mass of simple overstatted cards where you can easily lose as a Legend player versus rank 20 because they managed to hit a curve. Guess this was bound to happen since there wasn't the intention to make Hearthstone competetive in the first place. They just keep introducing overpowered early game minions in order to help out the weaker classes ignoring the fact that spell removal hasn't been able to keep up with the tempo since Naxxramas. Must be their policy that spells are uninteractive and unfun whilst losing the game because you didn't manage to get a 1 drop and never getting back on tempo is SUPER satisfying. Who cares that 95% of the cards in Hearthstone can't be played and that control and combo archetypes are dead even at low ranks. It's exciting how everyone can win when you just look at your mana and then play whatever card you have at that mana cost. It's so nice that the only comeback in the game is a 10 mana 7/5 coinflip, it really makes the game accessible for goldfish. I dunno - maybe control decks arent working but there are a TON of decks that specialize in "one turn kills" that are just as irritating as any aggro deck or tempo deck. I dont see an issue with playing on curve.... the gme is driven by mana crystals to spend so playing on curve is kind of the point. I do agree that there needs to be better comeback mechanisms besides Yogg or whatever other goofy cards there are. Mabe the 30 HP is too low? I dunno. The game is sucking right now at least in Standard mode. Thats for sure!

Control > Aggro > Combo > Control but since Control is just so bad in this game, it's just aggro everywhere. As I had said in a previous post, they simply need to make better board clears. Most that exist in the game right now should cost 1 less mana to be a realistic card. And specifically, they need to make board clears that won't just be used by aggro decks. Something like "Destroy all Minions." They could call it Wrath of Yogg. Incidentally Wild is much more fun, because it's much more casual, and there are more people playing control decks (in part thanks to things like Zombie Chow, Sludge Belcher, Deathlord, etc.) but with a 5 mana BGH, Dr. Boom is pretty much unstoppable. When you play him, your opponent might be able to kill him, but it's pretty much guaranteed to be a tempo advantage.
