1) Is it ever appropriate to play an elven archer when you can only make use of the battlecry to attack the enemy hero (besides in rush type decks, of course). In my Free Priest Deck, I often run into the situation where I have EA first turn, and I hesitate to use it, opting to save it for popping Divine Shield's or at the least instagibbing a 1 health minion. 2) Once again ignoring rush decks, is it ever appropriate to use X/1 chargers when they're not taking out a minion, and if so, when? Sometimes I'm holding onto a wolfrider or bluegill warrior forever because I dont want to throw it out there just to get some damage on the enemy hero when they're so useful for clearing out 2-4 drops.

This is quite unfortunate as I cannot download the mp3 for Turn-2 episode 10.

Sometimes I'm holding onto a wolfrider or bluegill warrior forever because I dont want to throw it out there just to get some damage on the enemy hero when they're so useful for clearing out 2-4 drops. 1) It's a terrible card an I would never put one in my deck. But if you got one in your starting hand it depends on your playstyle and the hero you are playing. if you play against rogue, mage or druid it is a wasted card and gives your opponent a card advantage. If you play another class you could consider it, but it is not really useful imo. 2) Same thing. Depends on the hero you are up against. If you play vs a hero who can deal 1 damage with his ability you would never play the charger to only attack his face for the same reason. If he is on very low hp mmmmaybe to put up some pressure. Vs other heroes you could play it, but the better use of those cards is to remove a higher cost card or a threat from the board as you said. Attacking a minion without taking it out is kind of a waste too. If you have no combo to take the enemy minion out with your attack, you spend at least 2 cards to remove one of your opponents which you should try to avoid. If you're desperate and it is your only play you can go for it, but it won't help you too much and the game is probably lost already.

Sure, its fine situationally. Playing an Archer or charge into nothing is ok when 1. You have a big excess of cards you need to play, especially if its function is redundant. 2. You have a pretty set next few turns and you wont have opportunity to get it them out. 3. If you think the opponent will have a harder time removing it than you did playing it. 4. You need a body on the table to buff. If it wont die trivially then go for it. Chargers especially can be fine in some situations if you feel they wont have appropriate removal spells. First turn EA is very questionable unless you need the body as a buff target.

Right now there are two things that gold is used for: 1) Buying expert decks 2) Buying entry to arena You play arena for fun, so if you don't enjoy it then you should use gold for expert decks. The ONLY reason why you wouldn't use gold for these two things is that perhaps in some distant future there will be new kinds of decks to buy or perhaps some in-game tournaments you can enter with gold but those are still uncertain and so much in the future that I wouldn't take them into account.

He's too situational imo. On December 12 2013 23:06 Zeon0 wrote: I'm sick of facing Mages, so I want to build a Mage deck myself. I cant afford the Giant deck, so what does the standard in your face Mage deck look like? Mana Wyrm + some cheap spells for earlygame. (frostbolt and CoC are good here, sometimes mirror image) (Frostbolts,) Fireballs, and some chargers (argent comm, leeroy, things like that) for midgame dmg. Sometimes Ice Lances (usually in decks with lot of carddraw) (1-)2 Pyroblasts to blast people turn 8-9. Would be the general baseline. There are variations whether you have more/less card-draw, more/less freeze stall, how many ice blocks you run, but that's pretty much details. Just use what cards you have/can get if you're limited on dust (which is what it sounds like)
