Well, I got in earlier today through the NA opt-in wave. Game seems cool, but was over-hyped as shit imo.
Hopefully more waves happen this week for everyone else.

Just got in through today's wave! Wooooot!
|
Gah still haven't gotten a key yet this is frustrating
|
Got one randomly in a contest :D 9 keys and thousands of comments. I attribute it to my faith in Chris. Along with terrible luck earlier in the week. Just pull your arm out of your socket (dislocated shoulder) followed by stomach flu / potentially fatal rash and you too can get a beta key!

Me two. High five!

I got an opt-in key despite already having it activated on my account. (Got my original one from gf). Gave her the one I got.
|
I tried everywhere, still no luck!
|
Been trying in all sorts of give-aways about to give up and just wait for opt-in or when it is released --.--

Aaaah... have been checking my mail like crazy for 3 weeks now :D, I am trying to be patient, but each time it gets me again

What I don't get is that blizzard says that they want everybody to play the game
then some excuses about servers
and then they give 1k keys to reddit and other community sites and streamers...
if they want people who signed for beta to play the game.. would it not be better to give those keys to the players who signed for beta as opposed to giving tons of keys away to streamers and wbesites? I mean what is the point of signing in for a beta if you have to watch streams 24/7 (and get lucky) and do stupid optins like liking fb and twitters and sharing statuses anyway?
why even make an option to sign for beta if they just give 10000 keys away to streamers and sites? it is a bit lame imo
in other words.. they could give those 10000000 keys to players who signed for beta and dont smack em in the face like this

Smack them in the face? Really?
Opt-in waves are going out like every other day now. It's not like they are giving keys to Reddit instead of giving them to opt-in participants. The point of signing up for the beta is to receive an opt-in key, I thought that was pretty obvious. If you want to supplement your chances by watching streams and signing up for giveaways, that's your prerogative as well.
I opted in for the Hearthstone beta as soon as I could, and while I was excited about it after watching streams after the beta first launched, I had no interest in signing up for Facebook or Reddit giveaways or slaving away over streams looking for a key. I was more than happy just checking my email every time an opt-in wave went out, and luckily I managed to snag one.
The game will go to open beta soon enough. While Blizzard has bumbled through this closed beta process at every turn, I find people who feel entitled to closed beta access kind of amusing.

i dont care about the community giveaways but why give ppl who already have the game attached to their account another opt-in key instead of giving it to someone who has not? does not make any sense at all

sure but apparently they give like 248928492492948 keys to streamers abnd websites and forget about the people who signed in from day one.. a little bit lame dont ya think? I mean they could do beta optins like daily with the amount of keys they give to streamers and community websites.. makes more sense imo. There is like no point signing for beta if you are waiting for a key and streamers receive 239828949 keys and websites instead of the ones signing since day 1.......

The worst part about those sites is that half of the people only wants to key to make a huge profit. It's a damn shame it goes like this. One guy on a forum I visited today had sold over 150 keys for 180 a pop.. Ridiculous!
|
That guy is a liar lol, there is no way that one guy got ahold of 150 keys without theft of some kind.
|
Another beta wave for the EU should be completed in 15 min.
Fingers crossed.

It's a 15 page topic, with alot of people saying thanks and confirming it's not a scam. I don't think he made 100 accounts to do that himself..
