Macho players like me find light ones weird, but heavy ones suck too so I have a middleweight mouse.

I wouldn't really call my mouse "heavy"... it's a G5 with about 30% of the max weight in it. It's tough to vote in a poll like this due to how we would define the terms light and heavy, but I suppose I would rather have my mouse get heavier rather than lighter. If it was too light I'd really be affected by every little particle on my desktop surface.

My hand gets tired pretty fast if I try a heavy mouse and I do consider light mouses to be more precise.

i prefer light mouses. maybe heavy ones are a bit more accurate, but i think it's not that comfortable to play with a heavy one. i have a mx510 and it's wight is exactly how i need it.

edit:
after thinking about it again i'd say it doesn't really matter how heavy your mouse is. you just have to get used to it and it will be fine.

Yeah i think that size is more important than weight, I got one of the G5's where you can change the weight and serously i don't feel the difference

Haha OP uses a radioshack brand mouse. Yes gigaware is from radioshack and so is that number i know because i used to work there.

Light mouse is better. I like light mice that aren't super tiny, i need a good grip on it at least.

does the g3 count as light or heavy? Either way I've never had any problems rise from the weight of a mouse.
yes.

I think i prefer mid-weight mouses? I have a Logitech MX518 and it's not exactly what i call light nor heavy so i guess it's mid-weight :D

I use a light mouse, its just a generic optical mouse from microsoft but i like it because it fits to the contour of my hand. Some people i know use the heavier mice because they like to move their hand more and it feels like they have more control.
Why would you ever choose failure, when success is an option.

Well I am fanatic about mouse weight. I am using a LMO and I have added my touch.

1) removed mouse scroll
2) removed scroll switch - which is soldered to the board
3) removed 3rd button micro switch - soldered to the board (when u press down the mouse scroll)
4) removed all the stickers (yea the stickers and the adhesive glue adds to the wieght)
5) removed the screw driver holding the upper body to the chassis
6) removed mouse skate

The only thing left to do is:
1) Replace the thick usb cable of LMO with the thin usb cables that comes with razer mouse.

Seriously? While doing that you've at most removed a couple grams of weight and played multiple games of russian roulette with your mouse.

I prefer a bit heavier mouse, currently G5 with most of weights used. Gives more firm feeling but is still fast and smooth enough to execute commands etc.
Also helps a bit if I get bit startled in intesive FPS.

I just use a logitech mini optical with the weight removed. Although because one of the mouse feet came off, I had to use aluminum tape ala http://www.gideontech.com/content/articles/201/1 and it works at least as well as before.
