+ Show Spoiler +폭풍의 언덕 This new map didn't come with an English title. I chose the tentative title 'Wuthering Hights' in the news post, because that's what came up when I typed the Korean name in a Korean search engine. It's the Korean translation of a movie/book title called Wuthering Heights. That name sounds pretty crap though and I don't even know if the mapmaker was inspired by the movie or if it's just a coincidence, so I'll present some other options.
Edit: We have a winner!!
50% for sexsexpussyhair, which actually stands for "i have no opinion and shouldn't have any right to vote whatsoever, but i'm not 18 yet so it doesn't matter"
24% for Wuthering Heights
I hence declare 'Wuthering Heights' the winner! ♡ Congratulations!

Is that Korean book an adaptation of the Charlotte Bronte novel, or is it a completely different book with the same name?
|
Voted Tempest Heights, not entirely sure what that means, but it sounds awesome.
(although I guess if there is a translation for it then shouldn't that be it, bad-assednes of the name aside?)
|
voted wuthering heights, i like allusions

I vote sexsexpussyhair.
But honestly, I'd probably go with Wuthering Heights.
And lol@ all the people who said this wasn't a promap in the other thread.
|
If SexSexPussyHair wins the poll can we call it that?
|
I voted sexsexpussyhair because I want to hear Tasteless say it someday on GOMTV.

There's no Korean book with that title. It' just the Korean translation of the Emily Bronte novel.
|
Doesn't it literally translate to Storm Hill? Just make it that and be glad it's not Baekmagoji so it's not a nightmare for Tasteless or any foreigner to pronounce -_-
|
If sexsexpussyhair wins the vote I will edit the Poll so my favorite wins.

I'd rather have two polls: one for first word, one for second. Then we combine the two.

What's the phonetic Korean of it?
I think if there's no actual English name for it we should do the same thing we did with Namja Iyagi/Baekmagoji/whatever other maps and just go by the Korean name.
If not, Wuthering Heights is good
|
Pokpung eh Unduk
~_~
Looks FUCKING RETARDED IN ENGLISH
edit: WE ARE NOT MAKING THE MAP NAME THE PHONETIC VERSION
MAKE SOMETHING UP
I WOULD EVEN RATHER HAVE SEXSEXPUSSYHAIR

I don't understand why Namja Iyagi wasn't translated merely to "The Story of Man" or something similar to that. I mean, Baekmagoji is an actual proper noun (or w/e) and can't really be translated into anything else but for "translatable words" we should make every effort to do so, no?

Can't Baekmagoji be called like 'White Horse Hills' or something to that effect as well?
Basically, what I'm saying is this: if the Korean mapmakers come up with an English name, let's use it. If not, let's use the Korean.
edit: 100% we should call it Pokpung eh Unduk.

Pokpung eh Unduk WTF Please not! Baekmagoji was bad enough, but if English commentators will try to pronounce Pokpung eh Unduk I fear I will suffer spontaneous internal bleedings.
btw doesnt Pokpung eh Unduk look like Popcorn'n'Underdog somehow?

Any 1:1 SexSexPussyHair?
Rofl I can see it now...

SexSexPussyHair still makes me lol.

Why do most of the names have to do with storms? Unless there's like, heavy psi storm usage on this map.. I picked Wuthering Heights.
|
Pokpung eh Unduk, right is right
|
Whenever i'll be talking about this map with my Swedish friends i'm gonna call it "Pökpung"
|
Wuthering Heights is an awesome name.

If sexsexpussyhair wins...
"Hey dude 1v1?" "Sure what map" "sexsexpussyhair?" "Nah, sexsexpussyhair is getting old" "sexsexpussyhair is the best! I can't get enough of it!' "Hm, well I haven't sexsexpussyhaired lately, so let's go" "GN?" "1on1sex" "k" They leave... "Where is soandso and whatshisface?" "sex match" "ah..." After the game... "GG" "2v2 would be fun on sexsexpussyhair" "Totally"
I could go on forever, what's the next new map's name? My Virginity?
"I thought I had My Virginity" "New version, but I think I lost it" "Damn, can I have the old one?" "Sure, you can take My Virginity"
"This is my first time losing (on) My Virginity!" "It happens to all of us dude."

is this me, or does this map look like a big swastika? (apart from being terran heaven)
|
You see a lot of swastikas in Starcraft, especially on the minimap when the players have just finished scouting. I've noticed that with Katrina.
I keep getting tempted to take screenshots and play "Heut ist mein tag" over it with a little Hitler flashing in the corner.
SECRET NAZI STARCRAFT
... but this is a dumb old meme.

pretty sure mapmaker will put up some explanatory article on one of the Korean esports websites
if his original intent was to reference the novel, foreign community should definitely go with wuthering heights
