Games Done Quick is a series of charity video game marathons. These events feature high-level play by speedrunners raising money for charity. Games Done Quick has teamed up with several charities throughout its history, such as Doctors Without Borders and the Prevent Cancer Foundation. Millions of dollars have been raised and donated, thanks to the GDQ speedrunning marathons, and many prizes have been awarded to those who donate!

Awesome Games Done Quick is the annual marathon performed in the winter, while Summer Games Done Quick is the annual marathon performed in the summer. This year, SGDQ is from Sunday, June 26th to Sunday, July 3rd.

I'm not that much of a fan of speed running but it's nice to see a few of them. The Banjo Tooie one is pretty crazy, that they have to look at another screen for the pixels.

That was so inspiring, I'm surprised they didn't use it as the closing for GDQ

Not only was this not used as the closing, this was a BONUS event. Now yes, every OoT bonus will always get met, but still. It wasn't even a guarantee it would happen and it was legit one of the best GDQ moments all time

this level is nuts, romhacks definitely have a lot more flexibility than Mario Maker does

That was a fun GDQ. It loses a bit of charm not seing everyone's expressions because of covid restrictions, but it's cool they managed to pull it off at all.
