So with Biden currently trailing by about 13k votes, Biden needs 30k to Trump's 17k to overtake Trump. That's still in line with the 66% line that Biden has had to hold this entire time. The remaining vote is mostly in Savannah. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/11/03/us/elections/results-georgia-president.html Going off the remaining vote, it's going to be so so close. There might be a trickle of Dekalb and Fulton votes but those are both at 98%+ reporting now. Assuming Biden only holds like a 60% of the remaining vote, Trump would win by 5k votes. 60%: Trump win 5k 61%: Trump win 2.5k 62%: Trump win 1.5k 63%: Trump win 1k 64%: Tie

A question for you just occurred to me (but answer might be too long for this thread, idk): I know your position on how you use your vote. But watching all this play out, did/do you find yourself hoping for any particular outcome? Or does your distaste for Biden and/or Dems in general make you pretty much indifferent one way or the other?

GA trend line the past decade should worry the GOP (same with NC). Seems like for a while battleground states are going to be GA, NC, AZ, MI, WI, PA and probably in 10-15 years TX if they dont do anything to reverse the trend there. This is all moot if the Dems ever get enough power to jam through PR and DC as states as the GOP part of the country won't take being perennial minority status and will likely say goodbye and move towards secession. (Thats my hot take for the direction thr country likely heads in in the next decade or so)

Latest update from PA: Votes that came in = +3k for Trump, +12k for Biden. That's a whopping 4:1 advantage for Biden. This could be those Philly votes that are finally being counted. Lead is now 100k.

If we're dissolving arbitrary geographic areas with a specific partisan political goal in mind then I'd not start with DC. Especially given the historical reason WV exists.

Well this is certainly interesting, not sure if this info is true or not but holy hell 30% Muslims for Trump? After all that talk about what he thinks of them and his immigration policy. Very interesting. GA UPDATE: https://twitter.com/DecisionDeskHQ/status/1324449301494378501?s=20 Since last time: Lead now 12.7k Biden +3k Trump + 2k Only 60% gain for Biden, not enough. Georgia is starting to slip away.

As that would effectively make them even more obsolete than that already are, and make them in the Electoral Map. Useless. If they went Republican; PR would go Democrat making their votes of no use.

Do you want to purposefully disentegrate the country because thats what +4 permanent D senators will do (plus the added reps and electoral votes). How would you feel if the GOP added +4 Senators and 12+ electoral votes into their column? If MD or VA doesnt want them then their SOL. Did you skip your history lesson with the Missouri Compromise or what?

If we're real, VA would win that fight, we're bigger and richer than MD, so we'd wind up shoving DC up MD's pooper. But yeah, noone wants DC, frankly I don't blame 'em, lol. Never driven in a more psychotic traffic environment. Midnight on a Saturday, basically LAWLESSNESS in driving form. EDIT: I saw WV mentioned and Im compelled to state that in VA it is legal to marry your first cousin, wheras contrary to popular imagination, in WV its illegal to marry your first cousin! Weird stuff. On November 06 2020 05:36 Wegandi wrote: Ya, no. What a tenuous existence America is, no wonder Democrats commit so hard to mediocrity in elections.

I don't think the balance of power question is an arbitrary one but if you want to ratchet up the sectarian and partisan strife to 800000% levels then ya go ahead and ram through DC and PR.
