Except he did not call a win, he said he was confident that after all the votes will have been tallied, he would be the victor and that they liked their position in Pennsylvania. Only thing he erred a bit on was saying he flipped Arizona (note the past tense), when I feel it's tense.
Did he say he won ? He did not.
And yesterday Trump said "we had won" I believe. Meaning he didn't anymore :-p

Hmm yes i can see your point. Another difference is that in europe the majority of the media is generally supporting the government in their approach,at least thus far. In the usa it was much more split where specially cnn couldnt resist pointing out all the flaws in the handling of the pandemic though i am not sure how relevant that actually is as most republicans probably watch fox over cnn.
In some ways the polarization backfired on trump. When it comes to the pandemic at least. If the country was less divided it would maybe have made a smaller impact.

We all know Trump has very loud vocal minority that supports him. I dont think those are the ones though that are throwing polls out of wack. This is the 35% that would still vote for him even if went and shot Obama at his house.
