you will have to find out the best way by yourself and that will come slowly and with time.
I suggest for now though, that you dont make putting in contacts a last minute thing.
generally though, there is a certain spot on your finger you want to balance it on, and you want the right kind of angle.
I personally do my left eye first, as I find that the harder one to do.
if you get it in your eye, but aren't sure it is going to stay if you blink, you can try moving it around until it clicks, or lift up your eyelid and place it over the contact.
but pretty much everything is going to be based on preference. after a few months, 30 seconds shouldnt be a problem.
