You can turn it around too. A smile from a stranger on the street can make your day, but Asians typically don't smile to strangers.

'Sure, that coughing guy without a mask at the supermarket might have given me Covid, but at least he smiled at me. That made my day'.

So by your logic, we should all wear masks in public all the time, because avoiding Covid is all the matters? Idk if you are trolling, but coughing in a supermarket without at least doing it in your armpit instead of out in the air was considered unpolite even before covid. Supermarkets are not high-risk areas either, with high ceilings, good ventilation and very limited social interaction, I dare you to find a single real world case of your example. You can also ask about how the state of mental health is in Asia. Don't underestimate the power of a smile, it can save lives!

Wearing a mask when you are coughing or sneezing should be common courtesy. I don't get what the problem with that is, either. You can still smile at people when you are not sick.

All the people going out with any kind of symptoms dont care about others Unfortunately employment and life don't prioritize unconditional self-isolation with any kinds of symptoms. Someone going to work when they're sick because they have to feed their family can't be said not to care about others.

Which is why they can at least wear a mask, even if it comes at the expense of not showing off that pretty little smile.

That was a reply to an earlier tweet he made stating he himself had serious side effects from his second booster.

I'm immediately skeptical when a proven liar and known anti-vaxxer starts saying things like that. The covid vaccine has side effects, and in super rare cases they can be severe, but I'd bet Twitter's net worth that Elon Musk is misrepresenting his and his family's specific anecdotes. On the off-chance that what he's saying is truthful, I hope his cousin recovers quickly.

To be fair, going to the hospital and being hospitalized are different things. Most people that go to the hospital are not hospitalized

That someone is famous does not mean you should listen to them. I can't stand that guy, an updated Donald Trump spewing bullshit all over, usually to grab attention or grift money.

Elon Musk has done a lot of good things for humanity with his ideas and investments. You might not like his character, disagree with his opinions but to label him as an updated Donaltd Trump or calling him a attention seeker/money grifter is going too far

I agree that he's not as bad as Donald Trump and that some of his investments have had a net-positive effect on humanity, but Elon Musk is absolutely an attention seeker. Edit: This is off-topic for the covid thread, so I'm happy to stop talking about him ![]()

I took 3 shots and while my entire family was sick as hell, I didn't notice a thing. 2 kids and GF had covid, I was ontop of them the whole time and didn't get sick, so I'm happy I took it. Then again none of them has gotten long term effects of covid and my GF who also was vaccinated but got sick, struggled with side effects from the vaccine a long time afterwards. Mostly things related to her period got much worse for a long time afterwards but she is fine now. I see on the internet that it's almost a common known fact amongst people that masks are bad, vaccines are bad and that Anthony Fauci is a fraud etc etc. Russel Brand, Elon Musk etc have very strong opinions about the vaccine being a corrupt money grab. Is it just politics or is it some merrit to this?
