The President can't be charged with a crime, per DOJ guidelines. The most the investigation would do is make a recommendation to the House that the president should be charged with a crime when he is no longer president.

I strongly recommend this twitter thread for people who want to brush up on the timeline of events from 2016 across all of the Trump campaign staff. It includes everything we know from court documents and official statements like Trump Jr.'s email about the meeting.

Not 100% sure the Deutsche Bank raid is related, since it was German police. The raid is due to a money laundering investigation.

The panama papers were pretty far reaching, so a raid "related to" them isn't necessarily that much of a stretch to trump stuff.

We won’t know for some time and I doubt the raid is going to have any impact on the current investigation. Anything found in the raid would need to pass through a lot of hands before it made it to the current investigations. I’m also pretty sure Trump isn’t smart enough to know that.

Also note that the canceling the meeting tweet had no all-caps words, came out during normal business hours, and included complete sentences. These are pretty big tells that Trump didn't write it. A real Trump message would have had grieving about how the fake investigation is why he had to cancel his meeting with the totally innocent Putin.

I copy pasted the line in put in quotes in my post from a post made in this thread few days ago. It didn't seem to stand out.
I don't consider Trump's response a big deal, but I also don't expect any meaningful response from other Western leaders. The recent fuckery was inevitable ever since Crimea was annexed, so it would make no sense to respond with something more severe now instead of just continuing the post-annexation course, that is maintaining the sanctions put on Russia and providing Ukraine with soft support.

We don’t know if the specifics of the statements, but I have not read any reports that they were under oath. However, it is illegal lie to the FBI during the course of an investigation. It isn’t going to send someone to jail for years, but its illegal and people serve jail time for it.
