By 2024 he's been a legal permanent resident for long enough that he can apply for naturalization and he does so.
What he doesn't realize is that under the old administration the legal permanent resident status was presumed to trump the 2019 deportation order whereas the new administration has a quota to fill. The new administration tells him all his paperwork is in order, gives him a scheduled interview date, and confirms it's all good to go. He shows up at his naturalization hearing with his American wife who is pregnant with their fourth child believing it's a routine part of the process because it is and he's literally a legal permanent resident of the United States. However the interviewer isn't there, it's the US Marshals. Chains go on and he's off to the holding facility.
Fortunately for him he was able to stay in touch with his family because the holding facility has contracted with a private telecommunications company that dictates pay per minute rates for phone calls so he can still speak with his children until the money runs out. And once he's back in Denmark then he can read them bedtime stories for the price of a zoom.
And at least it's clear to him who is to blame for his predicament. He explains
The reason I'm sitting here is more or less a product of the Biden Administration. They were the ones who let me go through this process without saying there was a problem. They didn't keep an eye on it. It wasn't until Trump that things got sorted out

It’s really not a buzzkill for those, that’s kind of the point. They let the Nazis through the door because they figured they would do Nazi stuff to other people. Problem for them is that Nazis have a long list of “others” and it turns out they’re on it. What colour were the people the Nazis put in camps? You’re acting like this is new information for you but it shouldn’t be. Nazis have always persecuted white people. They hate black people even more which helps them get the buyin of dumb whites who don’t understand what Nazis are. But if you’re white and also any of queer/socialist/disabled/Jewish/Roma/Slavic/infertile/religious/poor you can still very easily find yourself in a camp. That’s why you never Nazi. The Nazis famously killed loads of their high ranking SA Nazis. Being a high ranking Nazi is still not enough to protect you from Nazis.

Here's the timeline of the LA raids leading to protests. Everything was caused by the raids, and let not a single soul claim otherwise. This was caused and escalated by the fascists that currently have far too much power.
Furthermore, the NG was absolutely not required to deal with the situation. America has seen and properly dealt with many far worse instances of protester violence without any involvement of the NG. Let not a single soul claim that a number of burning cars somehow requires an escalation into fascism.
On Thursday, President Donald Trump acknowledged concerns from the agriculture and hospitality industries that his strict immigration policies are making it harder to retain long-time workers—even as his own company continues importing foreign workers through legal visa programs to staff its clubs and Virginia vineyard.
Key Facts
In a Truth Social post Thursday, Trump said his “very aggressive policy on immigration” is driving away long-time workers, citing complaints from the agricultural and hospitality industries—jobs those businesses are struggling to fill.
At the same time, the Trump Organization has consistently made use of temporary visa programs to hire foreign workers for Mar-a-Lago, four golf clubs and his Virginia winery—filing to bring in at least 1,880 seasonal workers since 2008, including 382 during Trump’s first term, according to Department of Labor data.
The company’s use of short-term, temporary visas has increased steadily in recent years, from requesting 121 in 2021 to asking for a high of 178 in 2024.
So far for 2025, the Trump Organization has posted to hire 31 foreign temporary workers for its winery, working from February through mid-October.
The jobs—primarily servers, clerks, housekeepers, kitchen staff and farm workers—pay between $14.17 and $23.01 an hour.
Spokespeople for the White House and the Trump Organization did not immediately respond to inquiries. Crucial Quote
“Our great Farmers and people in the Hotel and Leisure business have been stating that our very aggressive policy on immigration is taking very good, long time workers away from them, with those jobs being almost impossible to replace,” Trump posted Thursday on Truth Social. “In many cases the Criminals allowed into our Country by the VERY Stupid Biden Open Borders Policy are applying for those jobs. This is not good. We must protect our Farmers, but get the CRIMINALS OUT OF THE USA. Changes are coming!”
"who could have guessed healthcare, tax policy/identifying waste and fraud, the rule of law, ethical behaviour, being a dealmaker, not being a warhawk immigration policy is that complicated?"
how about construction companies? service industry small businesses in LA? are they just supposed to take the hit to their workforce because the misleader in chief chooses winners and losers - so stupidly and cruelly the courts are rejecting it left and right? and people giving in to their anger due to the idiotic policies?
interesting coincidence those are the business sectors Trump's in.
Minnesota state senator John Hoffman in Champlin and Minnesota state representative Melissa Hortman in Brooklyn Park were reportedly shot in their homes by a gunman impersonating a police officer.
If these two die, I believe it also swings a one-seat lead Democrat state majority into a Republican majority, in case anyone wanted any possible motives beyond the typical being-a-right-wing-freak.

Are they sure he was impersonating?
Are you insinuating a police officer, one of America's best and most brightest human beings, people who wield their power and influence with grace and care, might be capable of such a heinous act?
A cop could never hurt anyone, its not in their nature.

There's a little bad blood but the work for the year is done. Republicans wouldn't dare in Minnesota do anything other than approve what already been agreed. But yeah they tried shenanigans at the start of the session over this and we lost free heath care for immigrants over it. These aren't just line reps these people were targeted for being DFL leadership.
Really really scary time. My local rep has police sitting in their driveway with their m4s out atm. An alert was sent out to not answer the door if it's police until it's 2 and then call 911 to confirm. Police are told to not do that unless it's an immediate emergency.
One suspect is still being searched for the other was "detained" wearing body armor and a police uniform after being shot.
Radical moderate blackjack never heard of the night of the long knives what a surprise. It's like when portnoy wanted to keep the people who were antisemitic private so they could take a trip to Germany to see auschwitz.
The leader of the dfl in Minnesota was just confirmed to have died alongside her husband. A tragedy for the state that won't be soon forgotten. Walz bearly got through the announcement.
A shooter is still on the loose. The governor can appoint replacements, so this will not change the balance of power.
Police narrowly missed being able to save her, they caught the guy as he exited their house, and fired on him, he was not a real officer.
This is at best comparable to the French yellow jacket protests.
Euromaidan was infinitely more important for Ukraine's future than whatever Trump can do to change America.
Did no one disagree with this?
I mean the least you could do is weigh in. Rove was on TV after 2000 predicting a generation of Republicans that would never know defeat after a republican learned to speak Spanish.

The majority of people the original Nazis killed both on the battlefield (Russians) and in gas chambers (Jews) were white. This is either an extremely poorly worded "gotcha" or staggering ignorance, and frankly I don't know which it is.

If you look at the rhetoric around slavic people in the UK coming from Farage etc. its pretty much the same.
Hrrmm well not in the "they must be exterminated like vermin" kinda way. But yes "white" doesn't mean anything with racist fascist bastards, never has.
Even if we accept that Slavs aren't proper whites it doesn't matter. People go to the Nazis and go "I hate X, are you going to do something about X" and the Nazis consistently go "sure, they're on the list". A smart person would at that point go "hold up, can I see this list?". But Nazi supporters are invariably idiots and so they go "sounds good, proceed".

The narrative I was referring to is that people are being deported chiefly because they are brown and not chiefly because they are here illegally. Deporting the white Trump loyalist who made 4 white anchor babies back to Denmark because he didn't file a form 10 years ago kind of goes against that narrative.

The administration that's showing unwavering support to provide arms and intelligence to the Jewish state and refusing visas to anyone critical of Israel must be keeping their anti semitism really really low-key.
