Mandate or not, right is still right. Kerry's tweet was pretty telling. Absolutely no condemnation of the coup, instead a tacit acknowledgement that they would work with the successors to preserve peace and stability. Hell, I'd be amazed if the US didn't know it was coming. If the coup fails Erdogan is going to feel pretty bad about how little the rest of the world cared about him. | ||

If the military is deploying soldiers in several cities then that's a good amount of the military taking part. | ||
