Yeah, the stuff they are referencing is mostly about the fans and the “reasons” the game is popular. It was some intense baby-rage, not a true gamer, get out of my secret-clubhouse, stuff. Even the idea of 'Best Game Ever' is pretty well undefined. Is it the game that had the most cultural impact, the best gameplay mechanics, the best story, the best art, was most technically impressive for its time, or some combination of these? Everyone has their own opinion about what makes a game good, and in the end this poll is simply another popularity contest. I honestly can't understand how riled up I see people getting about the results. | ||
