i think depending on the glitch though. Some glitches where you just straight up end the game is pretty boring, but some other have fun side-effect like difficulty in execution and potential failures make it look interesting

Yea the term glitched runs doesnt really mean a lot for a majority of the speedruns categories out there. Glitchless runs for most games are very long and boring, and most games are run with heavy use of glitches.

What makes some game very short however is memory manipulation (OoT, pokemon etc).
In the end, it always depends on what game you are running.

Agreed, but it could've been a lot shorter.

It's a nice event for an even nicer cause, but I realised speedruns are boring to watch with a few exceptions, like Dark Forces II and GTA: VC.

metriod fusion was really fun to watch but they took it out:/

also halo can be really fun to watch.
The harder it becomes, the more you should focus on the basics.

It's interesting you say that because I can not stand any GTA runs lol.

I didn't like GTA as much before, but vice city is so broken now with some hilarious tricks.

With Metroid, it's basically like...if you want tricks and sequence breaking, Super Metroid is the best. If you like pure optimization and routing, it's Fusion (especially 1%). Zero Mission just feels like, eh.

That said, that low% run last year was ridiculous.

I don't know if it's just me, but I find the 2D Metroid games like Zero Mission being run right now, more enjoyable to play and watch than the 3D ones like Prime just moments ago. I get that it would make more sense for shooters to be in a FPS mode, but I never got comfortable when the Metroid series went that route... except for Other M on Wii

i like both about the same, couldnt decided which one i like better

i do would love if Nintendo made a new 2D version for the 3DS and a Prime one for the WiiU

2D Metroid gives more platform-y feeling to the game while 3D version is more of a shooter game i guess.

And stream dead at the end of that Zero Mission run T____T

Did I miss something? All week it's been 100k minimum viewers. Tuned in to watch the Zelda block and now there are only 40k.
