I'm currently investigating fire rates. I'm looking for two things: Cooldown and bullet speed.

Does cooldown change between towers or bullet speed or both?

yeah i did, and it doesnt work, flower fire rate is too low, you end up losing whether you buy nonstop flowers from them on or upgrade one i think (not sure, played this too many times now )

I've reached 40+ with one tower I believe... put a maxed nature at the bottom of the first straight.

a lot like that but with natures and more towers. basically fill in the middle with four more and then add at the end of left over straights.

Also note that range is a square, not the circle you might expect. Bullet distance seems not to matter. I don't see any cooldown either. Maybe it's the rotation speed? What is causing the delay?

Just from observation, the cooldown is the same of all of the towers. The only difference in firing rates is the bullet speed. The red/green/blue towers bullets have insane accelerations, both positively and negatively. The thunder and flower however, take a lot more time to accelerate and stop and hit the target, thus a longer time for one projectile to be active and thus less attacks per second.

Hmmm, the speed they move at is slower or the animation is longer? I can't see animations and speed seems to be the same: they travel half the distance every frame.

Edit: Actually some types travel 1/4 the distance every frame. Ok, let me see which towers do that.

Yeah it makes more sense the more I look at it, but really it's a 3500 line file and I can't really discover anything without knowing what to look for. I think I understand it more or less completely now, is there anything else to the game that could be investigated?

the only thing I can think of is that there seems to be a way to stack the towers but sometimes it will delete others and sometimes not.

See if there is anything about the placing of them, and anyway to avoid the deletion part.

I doubt its called deletion, there just might be an anomaly where one of the towers that was placed is factored out when a new one is placed too close or something.

I think the placement is the key now. You need to maximize the shots each tower can get in each round, because even though 900k is A LOT of dmg, it will hit twice for every 10 the green would hit...

I concluded these following elements to be the most important aspect of this game...

1. Maximize total number of round fired
2. Maximize the exploit of firing rate
3. Maximize the focus fire

yeah but the green doesn't hit 90k / shot. Also: green ones multiply the distance by 0.5, the ultimate one multiplies it by 0.8. The ratio is only 0.5/0.8.
