Yeah, there's some fillers in that massive area. But 1-95 was pure gold. Bleach, 1-72ish. Full Metal Alchemist at a distant third. I have yet to watch Elfen lied though, or whatever it's called. | ||

I mean I'm sure there are Japanese animators but you probably get what I'm saying.... Edit: Bebop is waaaaaaaay up there for me. Best anime. | ||

That show was better for its humor rather than for its action. The action is at least 10x better in the manga (up to like volume 14 right now?) Losing original voice actors and Wolfwod's kansai accent isnt going to help. :O | ||

I never watched it dubbed. The only purely comedic episodes are like the first few anyway. Once they start in on serious character development its absolutely incredible. | ||

2. GITS:standalone complex (although for pure animation quality the 2nd movie is tight) 3. FMP (both the serious and the funny seasons) lots and lots just below the top 3. And honestly i think it's not that naruto is bad (ok well the fillers are fucking terrible) it's just that it's been done before. a screwup outcast faces impossible odds and becomes an unlikely hero, then next week and even tougher foe comes along forces some growth....lather rinse repeat. | ||
