If we don't make it during CT we'll make it during bonus

I find it crazy they made it to 500k, and each donation after surprises me even more. It's really interesting to see.

Also since I said I would mention it, the original plan was not to have Crono revive. Originally you would get a past version of Crono to finish the quest, then you'd take him back home in his home time period, knowing that he would go on to get killed by Lavos.
Square decided that it was too sad/bittersweet, so they wrote the clone plot in to make things a bit brighter.
The more you know!

Going to go pass out

That's too bad. I think the first idea would have been awesome. I mean obv really sad but really good storytelling. That the character can die and what not.

Missed your post, sorry, but yeah it's just an extra couple days after the marathon of other stuff...I know there's a Smash Melee tournament finals that is being played during it, among other things.

There was also Donater asking for Blueglass doing Echo at bonus stream. >.>

From a Masato Kato interview...
There was also a time during a meeting when the idea of the main character dying came up, and the whole room suddenly burst into laughter. I seemed to be the only one who thought “That was a serious suggestion, what’s so funny?” and sat looking blank. (laughs) Although at that point Mr Horī did say “Hey, that might be pretty interesting.” Incidentally, the idea that I had at that time was for Crono to really die, and the others would have to go back in time and enlist a version of Crono from the night before the Fair. Then after the final battle they would have to return him to that point in time and bid him farewell. But that idea was rejected (laughs). They said it had to be a happy ending, so we eventually settled on the story with the clone as it is today.
That interview is kinda cool, if you are into reading that sort of thing. I think it was translated out of a gaming magazine from Japan and posted on chrono compendium

If everyone in chat donates like $1.25 thats a million dollars

He wouldnt be suprised at all to meet a frog, a robot and that magus is evil at first and so on. :/
The idea is really cool though....but im not sure if a non happy end is better...it was still a game mostly targeting kids....you know, back in the days.... :/ (though zelda links awakening does it, with killing everyone through your hands)

The sleep deprivation is strong with this crew.
I love graveyard shift, it's like a totally different marathon, haha so chill but so kooky
