do you think baseball or basketball or american football are any different in this aspect? you realize that 99% of europeans would rather watch fucking teletubbies than a game of american football or baseball, right? (basketball not included cause that game gets some exposure due to not being totally horrible, some europeans like playing this and several are fans. )(this caused by NONE of us being fans/players of american football/baseball. ) there's no such thing as the european gene for hatred towards american sports yo~~ | ||

American Football is, for me at least, a Sunday affair, because as sports go, I really don't find it that entertaining either. There is a good amount of strategy, but the game is, in my opinion, too slow paced. But I meant genuine appreciation, sitting-on-the-edge-of-your-seat-OH-MY-GOD-that-was-nice-WOOHOO! kinda of fandom. | ||

This one's easy. I don't even like baseball, but there's no question the answer is Babe Ruth, so long as we're going by "most accomplished within the sport." He was so far above and beyond any other player of his era, and of any era since, really. To be fair, however, I would agree that the only sport really worth considering is soccer, since no other sport (except perhaps cricket) has anywhere near the breadth of appeal that soccer does. | ||
