There is no consensus among scientists about the exact reasons that an individual develops a heterosexual, bisexual, gay, or lesbian orientation. Although much research has examined the possible genetic, hormonal, developmental, social, and cultural influences on sexual orientation, no findings have emerged that permit scientists to conclude that sexual orientation is determined by any particular factor or factors. Many think that nature and nurture both play complex roles; most people experience little or no sense of choice about their sexual orientation. Let me say it ANOTHER TIME: I do not hate or vilify those that are gay. I simply disagree with homosexuality. I do not let that disagreement color my interactions with homosexuals. I am capable of restraint. I am simply sharing my viewpoint. I respect the common view. I just disagree with it. Then you're straight up ignorant on the subject yet you're still trying to express an opinion about it. Your opinion that disagrees with homosexuality stems from a fundamental lack of understanding. There's a graph probably easily searchable on Google images that depicts "Mt. Stupid". The X axis represents understanding of a subject while the Y-axis represents willingness to opine on that same subject. "Mt. Choice or not, why does it matter. It doesn't to me, they deserve equal rights, just as I have rights to be my sexual preference. It matters because whether or not its an issue of choice is one of the arguments that was presented in support of Prop 8 when it was first challenged and was raised more recently in the US Supreme Court in the equal marriage rights arguments being made there. It was also used in the UK by right wing organisations and the Church of England in their opposition to same sex marriage rights. It doesn't mean anything but people just use it as a stupid reason that people shouldn't buy into.

I said that the primary purpose of sex is reproduction. All mammals on earth use sex as a means of reproduction. Humans are unique on this earth, but why should that change the purpose of sex? This whole debate has came to that: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I'm_entitled_to_my_opinion
There is nothing to say in favour of homophobia except "i don't like it, and it's my opinion, and i'm entitled to it". Which is rainbow horsepoop ( TL themed yeah ) . You can't tolerate intolerance, and intolerant people should face their own intolerance, and named the way they deserve.
I support TL move, and as a straight guy who understands the pain of his gay friends, when people reject them because of something they didn't choose and should make them heppy, it makes me happy to see this logo. Kudos TL. I'd buy TL plus to show my support if i wasn't so damn poor.

And if there's anything I'm deflecting, it's all the fucking insults being thrown at me left and right because this " debate is exhausted, thus leading to people insulting each other." well, they gave multiple arguments with a solid base to them while you on the other hand keep only stating it is your opinion, which totally makes it worthless in a discusion and gives you no validity.

You have an offensive opinion about people who may be members of this community. You provide no evidence to back it up and continue to state it over and over. People provide evidence refuting your opinion, which you ignore in every way, while continuing to state your offensive opinion.
As you refuse to discuss anything and your opinion is offensive, you have left people no option but to insult you in the hopes that you will go away. You are entitle to your opinion, but you need to keep it to yourself.

It is sad that some posters seem to have an issue with gayness.
It is a good thing that TL sides with gay pride. Not to actually promote a gay way of life (and even if, where would be the harm) but to make a statement for equal treatment instead of exclusion.

We are not required to respect opinions of people who can't back them up. People can have the opinion that my girlfriend is ugly. If they say it to her face, I don't have and will not put up with them.

This is quickly turning into Internet tough guys bullying some user voicing the minority and disregarding all rules of posting and human respect. It's alright, because virtue is on their side.
"The minority doesn't deserve respect". I like how that sounds :D
