Though the whole simpsons vs family guy is quite difficult... I mean... The simpsons has more spirit in it. Though sometimes (some episodes) it gets a bit too mushy and they put so much weight and concentration on the story so that it's not really about comedy anymore. Sure they always fit in a joke or two, but that's not nearly enough for 20 minutes. Family guy I could kind of take it or leave it. I mean, sure it's funny (the pedophile is a fucking riot) sometimes but when Family guy is at it's best, I don't think it beats The Simpsons (also at it's best). But lets not get too analytic about it.... Both are good shows and lets hope they keep running for a long time. Oh this thread was about futurama? :D | ||

One episode had me cracking up tho. It was when that gay guy decide to boycot the airline and invents a machine that can compete. I think me being high at the time had something to do with it, but that was one of the funniest shit ive ever seen. | ||

Family guy is good for a few laughs, but I don't rate it as much as Futurama. American Dad is good also, but it's basically a re-hash of family guy, without Brian or Stewie. South Park had <20 episodes, it was good for its shock value when I was in year 8. Now though... Just my 2 cents fellas. | ||

Few good shows get old as fast as Family Guy has. | ||

owns all other animated programmes imo, those episodes that took the piss out of family guy lol i just cant watch family guy now the show seems totally boring since south park pointed out exactly why its crap. futurama is ok i guess, but ive never found it really that funny. | ||

I mostly agree with the above, sometimes with these shows though you need a good reference of current culture in order to get all the jokes, something I am not perfectly in tune with. I like them pretty all and whenever I catch em on TV I watch it. The thing about being Bilingual also is I am able to Enjoy South Park and The Simpsons in French which is also a different experience, because they sometimes twist the jokes to our culture references. | ||

Simpsons was great as well, but dont even bother watching it on sunday anymore, even tho i have TiVo Futurama, I pretty much watch it whenver its on Cartoon Network. Its a great show. American dad... holy shit i watched that when it first came out, i barely laughed. | ||

I like futurama way better than family guy. They've obviously run out of material. Plus futurama was funny in a better way (like without being disgusting), and doesn't have dragged out moments of bad jokes like family guy. I like the simpsons better than family guy too, though they've also run out of material.. but they've been on forever. And like with futurama, it's bright moments are a lot better than family guys, and more frequent. | ||

Futurama is kind of like a mix of simpsons and family guy.... maybe. Simpsons will rarely crack you up these days, but it does have its briliant moments. Like when they parody king of the hill and tetris. I rofled so hard. which reminds me, no one mentioned king of the hill lol. King of the hill is actually funny once in a while, unlike american dad. Heres tetris one lol. | ||

I like South Park, too, though it has lots of just really, really bad episodes. But South Park at its best is comedic gold for me. I absolutely loved the movie, and episodes like Fat Butt and Pancake Head are, in my opinion, better than anything Groening and MacFarlane have produced. All the aforementioned shows are eclipsed by Animaniacs and Pinky & The Brain, though. | ||
