I walked to the gas station near my house (about 6 blocks away) on a nice day to get some cigs and a soda (in one of those styrofoam, 44oz containers in which the lid never fits very well.) I was listening to music, walking on my way back, and it's important to note that I had just received a prescription for Valium, and took about 15mg before going for my walk. Giving a fuck was not anywhere in my head, as I had no tolerance to it. I was about 2 blocks from home, and got near a 4-way stop where a car had just pulled up to stop about 10 meters in front of me. The window rolled down and I saw someone in the backseat "yell" something. Not sure what it was, or even if it was yelled, but it looked like it by the way his mouth moved (or maybe I just told myself that and believed it ever since.) Either way, I took off my headphones and said "what?" They were still stopped at the sign and he replied "you heard me." Now, pretty much no matter what he said to begin with, any time someone replies with "you heard me," it's a fair enough assumption that he didn't say something very nice. The car began to pull away and in a knee-jerk reaction, I threw my beverage at the car. It was so perfect, as the car pulled away and the window began to roll up, the drink slipped right into the back seat. I turned around and walked back to the gas station. Told the clerk I was pretty thirsty today, walked back home smiling the whole time. | ||
