I think we should replace every member of the house and senate. Doesn't mean some of the long time members shouldn't get back in, but that we'd be better off starting with a whole new group of folks and working from there.

Coincidentally, same thing I advocate for clearing out most corrupt establishments.

regular churning is good for helping with corruption.
Though with congress, I wouldn't say corruption is the prime problem (though there's certainly some of it).

We need term limits, that is certainly true.

Term limits sound nice; thoguh I'm not sure they really work out that effectively in practice. IT's quite common for things that sound reasonable to work quite different in practice, or to simply not have the desired benefits.

Why aren't you running a small town somewhere then?
The unrealistic sound of these propositions is indicative, not of their utopian character, but of the strength of the forces which prevent their realization.

Clinton wins the Porto Rico primary! Once she's "officially" the presumptive nominee by Tuesday, that will allow Obama, Biden, etc., to campaign for her (or perhaps they'll wait a couple of days for Sanders to officially concede). I can't wait to see the Democrats united and at work together against Trump.

A growing number of Republican lawmakers and strategists fear that Donald Trump’s hostile remarks about minorities and his unorthodox strategy have imperiled his campaign at the end of a five-week head start on Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton that they hoped would fortify him heading into the general election.

Their concerns increased again Sunday after Trump said he thought a Muslim judge might treat him unfairly because he wants to temporarily ban most foreign Muslims from entering the country. The remark was an expansion on repeated assertions over the past week that an American-born judge overseeing a fraud case against him should recuse himself because of his “Mexican heritage.”

“If it were a Muslim judge, would you also feel like they wouldn’t be able to treat you fairly because of that policy of yours?” host John Dickerson asked on CBS’s “Face the Nation.”

“It’s possible, yes. Yeah. That would be possible, absolutely,” Trump replied.

While Republicans credit Trump for making some strides after vanquishing his final GOP opponents last month, many are concerned about repeated comments singling out people for criticism on the basis of race, ethnicity or religion. The attacks in the Trump University case also underscore the extent to which Trump, who is traveling overseas later this month to visit some of his golf courses, commingles his private business interests with his presidential campaign.

Finally, many Republicans are also unnerved by Trump’s decision to continue picking fights with fellow Republicans and to spend time and resources campaigning in California and other Democratic-leaning states that he is extremely unlikely to win in November.

The prevailing view among prominent Republicans is that Trump still has the time and ability to make the necessary course corrections, especially given Clinton’s vulnerabilities. But they see some acute problems in the way he has conducted himself in recent days.

Trump's mistake on the Judge wasn't his comment, that's part of his basic strategy, the mistake would appear to be not giving the media something better to jump on after. The judge comment was perfect in that no one is talking about the "fraud", but he needs his next thing for the media to latch onto. He got over the hump on the right by redirecting people to the protests, but the left/media isn't letting go so easily (for obvious reasons). Expect him to say something bombastic Monday that the media can't ignore and then the entirety of the coordinated effort from Hillary and the media will be evaporated by coverage of whatever he says Monday.

So long as people are arguing over whether Trump is racist or not Trump is winning. There are no shortage of white men (or women) that feel like they or their actions have been arbitrarily or inaccurately ascribed to racism and are angry about it, and as Bernie's campaign brought to the forefront, they aren't limited to the right.

So far Hillary's campaign and the DNC have shown me that they don't at all understand what they are up against.

I have to agree, whether its a deliberate or not on Trumps part it does obfuscate the issue quite significantly, especially since hes throwing the Crooked Hillary bombs every chance he gets. I do hope Sanders points it out though given the opportunity.

Still though whats depressing is that all of these tactics rely on people being naive and lacking critical thinking. Sadly that seems to a pretty common theme.

Anti-Trump conservatives didn't get their candidate.

David French tweeted Sunday night "after much thought and prayer" he will not be running for president.

French, a writer for the National Review, was courted by members of the Never Trump crowd to mount an independent bid for president, giving Republicans an alternative to Donald Trump.

"I gave it serious thought — as a pretty darn obscure lawyer, writer, and veteran — only because we live in historic times," French wrote for the National Review. "Never before have both parties failed so spectacularly, producing two dishonest, deceitful candidates who should be disqualified from running for town council, much less leader of the free world."

French went on to detail the ways in which he says Hillary Clinton and Trump are habitual liars and unfit to be president.

Somebody call Trump, I think he just found the first Muslims he's going to ban.

Seriously though, it's no surprise Trump wanted to face Hillary.

Ramadan is LITERALLY a month of a calendar.

So yes, we are all entering/beginning Ramadan. Like we all entered June, and like we all entered/began the Chinese New Year.

Expect people to not even exercise the basic googling to understand this though! Including someone running for President of the United States who has commented on Sharia Law without putting even an ounce of effort into learning what it is (hint: there are multiple interpretations of it).

Actually Sharia Law in of itself is an interpretation, there is nothing divine about it, most of which are agenda driven, and most of the tennets are bullshit political power plays from the middle ages that we are now stuck with and its purported infallibility + Show Spoiler +
