When I first saw this I was pretty disturbed, but it's kind of interesting. I think here at TL we have an interest for these kind of things (i.e. the killer wasps vs bees, deepsea creatures, etc.).
Be forewarned: It is a video of a giant centipede (it's like ~12 inches long), eating a mouse. It's probably not good to watch it while eating or at work or something.
A giant centipede, scolopendra gigantea robusta, killing and eating a mouse. This specimen was not yet full grown but as you can see, it was already an impressive size.

but yeah I want one as a pet ^_^
when I was back in China the yard was full of these... those r pretty awesome ^_^
Well um.. they have yellow legs, blue body and red head! (As the picture shows exactly). They move like freaking phantoms with their legs in a processive wave and they are really speedy. They look fabulous when you see one, you will be amazed, entrieved, and repulsed by this very being that's a work of genius by nature. ^_^
the first instinct I had was to squash that bug.. so disturbing..
then I thought, its bigger than the mouse! so.. what is the difference from squishing the centipede using a shoe, and squishing the mouse using a shoe??? usually bugs are really small so you dont think much about it, but this one is huge..
yeah but i guess the difference is that a mouse is innofensive and that's IMO what a pet should be, not a frigging blind creature that would kill you if it could
