Those of you who use a Nexus 7, how do you transport it?

I had a Nexus and felt like it was perfect for a 7" formfactor, but I found 7" to be really lame.

It's not really portable, as in you need a bag to carry it, so it's more impractical than a mobile, but at the same time when it's home it's a little to small and the extra 3 inches wouldn't hurt.

Too bad the Nexus 10 doesn't have LTE functionality, or else I would get one and ditch my smartphone to get one that only does calls and plays mp3s.

I use that for my Nexus 7. It fits almost perfectly.
Might makes right.

it actually fit well to my belly pocket/jacket pocket. May be ima have some trouble during the summer but i could just throw it in a side of my backpack, in the middle of my papers. Its way harder to scratch than storing a cellphone in your keypocket.

That explains why I got 250 € for my 32gb after using it for a couple of month.

Kinda miffed that they just used the S4. Its kinda cool but not so sure since price a bit way higher.

Was hoping to see the Nexus 5 with all the rumours about it. Used friends Nexus 4 and soooooooooo nice sadly no LTE only. Otherwise awesome enough.

Oh well still 2 days left maybe last minute announcement :D.

The nexus 7 is a great tablet device. I know there's a 3G version of it too that can make it easy to theoretically take calls, but I don't really know how easy it would be to use as your only phone since it's so big and hard to carry around.

As far as tablets go I prefer it to the iPad. I like how when you click on something you can zoom into it. Also I feel like Apple hasn't added anything to the iOS family in years.
The iPad is larger though.

You'd have to try both for a while before making a decision about which you preferred but at this point I think android OS has pulled significantly ahead of iOS. And just Friday I saw the nook on sale for like 129$ US at Barnes and Noble and like 30$ online. It's not selling well, but as a device it doesn't seem that bad to me either.

30$ one

On second review the 30$ one is just an ereader.
I think in our modern age technology has evolved to become more addictive. The things that don't give us pleasure aren't used as much. Work was never meant to be fun, but doing it makes us happier in the long run.

the porn music aside...

EDIT:

While we still can't say for sure when the Nexus 7 refresh will be available, we now have a pretty good idea what it will cost. In this leaked inventory screen, we see listings for both the 16GB version, priced at $229, and the 32GB version, checking in at $269. Those prices aren't bad at all, as the rumored specs for these show a Snapdragon 600 processor, 5MP camera, and possibly a 1080p display.

More leaks:

It appears that the rumored sequel to the Nexus 7 is close at hand, according to internal documents sent to us by an anonymous tipster. Apparently, the new device will be sold in stores alongside the current iteration (at first, at least, though we can't be certain if this will only be until existing stock runs out). The docs indicate that stores will receive the tablet as early as the 20th, though we wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see it until the 24th or later, given Google's product event on that date. This particular model being discussed is the 32GB version, but we're not certain if it will be available in 16GB as well or if it's just not going to be offered at this specific outlet. We'll update you as we learn more about it, but it's pretty clear that next week's announcement will be rather significant.

Update: According to a shot of an inventory screen sent in by our tipster, the retail price for the 32GB model is set at $269.99.

Update 2: A tipster sent in photos of the alleged device to Android Central. While we can't know for sure that this is the exact same tablet that we expect to see next week -- it could simply be a prototype, for instance -- it at least looks quite feasible. There's a pair of pictures after the break.

I'm kind of excited for the new Nexus 7. I have a kindle Fire and its great but I'm considering picking up a new 16GB Nexus 7 for bed use etc. Specs seem amazing for $229, so I would definitely consider it. I just hope all the listed specs are accurate. An iPad (mini!) killer indeed!

at the guy above me, basically every tablet since 2010 except the iPad uses microUSB, you can get one for super cheap from amazon.

Doubt there won't be a 10" version.

I am of the opposite opinion. A 6" is the largest I can fit in a pocket, anything under 10 is for a pocket for me. Anything at or above and I'll use a stationary instead.
