I have a Nexus 4 before and it's really great but I upgraded on samsung s3 months ago, as for the tablet I bought my nexus 7 last year and it works perfectly, no problem with apps and lag even playing PSX with games like final fantasy 9. no lag at all.

Do you know when people anticipate the new nexus phone to come out? I have hte galaxy nexus but it's out of warranty and starting to have major problems (most people havent had issues with build quality but I have...)

Is the device still made of plastic on the back side?

i still enjoy using my nex7 and wont need the 2nd gen at all. I still do want to find a excuse to get rid of it, sell, pass on to family/friend so i can justify upgrading to 2nd gen tho.... :p

chromecast is pretty awesome. another device that i really dont need atm. but for that price...... add in the 3 month of netflix and ur really onlying paying what like 15ish bucks. I'm defintely gonna get is once its available.

Flashed the 4.3 stock to my Nexus 4, it runs well as expected. Glad Google's got the stock images up Day 1 this time, when they announced 4.1 I ended up having to get a data dump ROM from someone that went to I/O.

Hopefully this improvement in the dev/release process is reflected in the shipping of the new n7, really considering getting one if the impulse buy feel is still here Monday.

All Google has to do now is speed up the expansion of Google Fiber into the major cities of the US and Google will have effectively killed Cable.and force Satellite channels to adapt to Online viewing.

Nexus 7 is looking sweet... I'll probably pick one up from Best Buy on day 1 because I expect it'll sell out at Play store while I'm at work

i wouldnt mind google internet monopoly, i'm sure it'll still be cheaper and faster than what it is now.
i really dont understand how USA pays double the price for half the speed compared to rest of the developed world.
for example i pay $80/m for "50mbps" (speed test says 10mbps)

i don't understand what you're trying to say. 50mbps is about what $80 gets you in the USA. it's definitely not fast compared to the rest of the developed world like you said, but capitalism and all that stuff ya know?

i'm saying i think google is less willing to fuck people up the ass compared to say att or comcast or verizon or astound for price:speed ratio.

well his location says korea so i wouldnt be suprised if he omitted a zero and meant 500.

i have a 50/25 verizon and it would run me about $60 on its own (i have the bundle so in actual its less... sort of)

Here's the full presentation, Nexus 7, Jelly Bean 4.3, Chromecast etc,

edit #1:

Netflix made several appearances at today's Google event, but the most notable is perhaps the announcement that content delivered to Android devices may soon look a whole lot better. Hugo Barra demoed the new Nexus 7, showing off the 1080p content the device will be able to stream from Netflix when it launches in the US on July 30th. Prior to now, Android devices streamed content in standard definition, regardless of their resolution. Following the release of the Nexus 7, the company will roll out 1080p support to additional smartphones and tablets sometime this year.

There's a difference between capitalism and corporatism. And come to Australia before you complain about internet speed :\
