I feel this way more toward Halloween than Christmas, but it depends on how nuts we're talking. If you have people coming in dressed in green like elves and shit, then that's pretty whacked out. I enjoy the potlucks and gift exchanging that happened where I work though. It's the one time of year where things get really relaxed for a couple of weeks, everyone is chill, etc. I like it.
I can't stand when people dress up for Halloween in an office though. You're 40, childhood ended a long time ago.
Christmas though... it's all about being pleasant and nice, and I think we could probably use that more often, but if I can only get it once a year, then I'll take what I can get.

Hipsters and generally people who look at the meta- details of a piece of entertainment (for instance in music - who put this album out, how well it sold, how old/established the band/artist is etc) with little regards to the actual content itself. Honestly this kind of attitude towards music/books/films/games/other entertainment is simply mind-boggling and unfathomably stupid to me.

Living in Shanghai and dealing with these fucking plebs is getting really annoying.
When the sidewalk is n people wide and a group of n (usually girls) decide it is acceptable to walk side by side blocking the whole sidewalk usually with their faces buried in their phones. Then they get pissy when I try to move past them.
People that get on the subway and refuse to move towards the center of the train. Seriously what the fuck.
People that stand on the left side of the escalator when the right is for standing and the left is for walking.
People that sit on the outside seat on the bus and simply move their knees a little to let you in instead of standing up. Then they get all pissy cuz you brush against them when you go in. Why didn't you take the window seat then?

It was an attempt at humour because all of the things I had listed were negative human behaviours, so it almost made it sound like I don't like people at all.

When I'm at work (I'm a field tech for an ISP) and the customer just stands there over my shoulder watching me work the whole time. Literally, the whole time. It's like a 2+ hour job and they just follow me every time I go out to my truck or whatever. Jesus fuck, give me a god damn break.
Lately I've been telling them that it's easier for me to work with privacy and that I'd like them to step back, but seriously, that's not even something I should have to say. Seems like basic courtesy to me @_@
