Which is like the greatest thing about Android, anything you dislike can probably be replaced by something from Play Shop, besides the stock browser I've also got Opera and Firefox running, though I uninstalled Dolphin because it was causing random restarts, somehow.
But hey, at least you can watch streams on the S2.

I only use Opera Mobile right now and it's the best out of all the browsers I've tried in the past. Admittedly I haven't tried Firefox/Chrome on Android yet.
I am currently moving away from a T-Mobile Wing. Is the S3 a good option for me if I know I want an Android phone? Outside of costs, what would be some advantages of the S2?
Oh sorry. Yeah basically I want to know what are some of the positives of the S2 over the S3 besides cost if there are any. I have to move away from the Wing, but getting the latest and greatest isn't always best. I was just trying to get some user input before I pull the trigger on one of the two.
thats not true, it's cheaper and lighter, and smaller which might also be positive for some people.
people seem to have different opinions about how long the battery will last, but it seems S3 might last longer than S2? dunno but if s2 lasted longer that would of course be another advantage
The S3 is the natural successor to the S2. It's naturally going to be better in almost every way except cost. It has a bigger and higher resolution screen, quad core instead of dual core, a better graphics card, more memory. If you're not simply looking for the best phone out there, the thing you have to ask yourself is that for the extra price that will come with the S3, do you absolutely need everything that it has over the S2?
Personally I didn't, and thus I am very happy with my S2 and have no plans to upgrade to the S3.
Man, the specs on this phone are just flat out SICK, I don't think I've ever seen peope talk about putting a quad core processor in a phone before!
I own the Galaxy Nexus (recently upgraded from the original Galaxy S), and it's a fantastic phone. The UI is really snappy which is a big step up from that of the S and the S2, both of which I've noticed significant lag in using. If anything, it's a little big for my girly mitts, but other than its cost (I bought it outright for 600 bucks, I did the math and taking into account the contract break fee it was cheaper for me to buy the phone straight up), I have no problems with it.
Since I bought the Nexus outright I'll be eligible for another upgrade in a year and a half when the original contract runs out, maybe I'll get this one if it's all that it's currently being cracked up to be.
so...how come the US always gets screwed in the processor department? Im sure people here would prefer the quad core of the dual....so what gives? any input on why this happens?

Because US LTE uses a different band than what the rest of the world uses.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the reason that you guys get dual-core is because quad-core can't handle 4G.
