I'm sure some people could find arguments for specific scenarios like "I like to put my phone in my pocket along with my keys and a handful of coins, and nails too". But in general, what's the point? You get your new phone, it's magnificent and glorious - and right away you make it ugly by throwing in a screen protector which inevitably has imperfections, and may not be installed exactly right. You carry it around for 2 or 3 years, and as time goes by the screen protector gets slightly beat up. Unfortunately your phone is now obsolete and barely worth anything. So all the time you've been protecting something that's now worthless. I've had my Galaxy S for over 18 months now, the back is a bit scratched up because I use a case but the glass is scratch free. I could almost buy a new back on ebay and sell this thing as BNIB. And like I said, it still wouldn't be worth much. Unless you're one of those people who get a new phone every 3 months, protecting your screen is dumb because it defeats the purpose. You put on an ugly protector to keep your phone from becoming ugly. So in the end, you have an obsolete phone who's never been as beautiful as it could be. I think a screen protector that is applied properly is not ugly at all, and is definitely not as ugly as the scratches you can get when it's in your pocket full of coins and stuff.

I am currently looking into buying an armband for my S3 for when I am running. I have recently moved to San Francisco, as the climate here, as well as in Denmark, can be very humid I am looking for something which will protect my phone (i.e. sweatproof and at the very least waterresistant). So far, every single model I have looked at appears to have at least 1 review stating issues with sweat and following problems with the electronics of the phone (even the armpocket which appears to be one of the best on the market is reported by one guy to have this issue). I have found one armband which claims to be waterproof down to 6 meters, but as it has no audiojack it defeats 50% of the purpose of bringing my phone (the other 50% is that I am regularly on call and thus need to be contactable at all times). So I turn to you TL - have you got any experience with any armbands? Any recommendations? Question 2: Anyone who have found some earphones that: 1) Does not fall out when running (preferably neckband like the sennheiser PMX-series) 2) Are compatible with android in the sense that I can control the soundlevel Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance! EDIT: To the guy above me - that is the question about flash right? I believe you can download the flash app by allowing installation from non-market apps which should solve the problem. I will admit to not have done so myself, and only having asked my coworker. Hope this helps.

Should I upgrade now or should I wait for the SGS4? Many of my friends have the SGS3 and it's tempting to get a new phone after having my current phone for a year.

My personal favorite peice of the phone is the fact you don't have to abuse your fingers everytime you want to read a text/article on the internet by zooming in endlessly and chopping off half the paragraphs because it doesn't fit on the screen. With the S3 you can see everything. I call it an "old man phone" in a way that you can be an old guy who can hardly read small text and use the S3 perfectly because you can see everything crystal clear and in the right size without zooming in and cutting it all off, making it all a big mess. Wait until the S4? Maybe, i haven't heard of any tech specs on the S4 yet so im not sure. If you NEED a phone right now, get the S3, if you can wait until the S4 then wait a bit longer until the specs and such are out and compare it. Price will be dropping all the time on the S3 as well due to S4 being inc.

I'm going to have a look at the S3 and decide then.

Hope this helps. I run with my s3 using the belkin armband with a small plastic bag around the phone (think sandwich/freezer bag). It's not optimal, but I was doing that even with my previous phone in case of rain. Other than that, I'm happy with the belkin one, fits my thin arms (no lifting or whatever) fine, material streches and isn't bothersome while running. http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-EaseFit-Armband-Samsung-Galaxy/dp/B008589YTC As for earphones I can't help you there, I run with basic in ear ones (sennheiser/UA). Get the LG Nexus 4, it looks great from what I've seen in reviews.

Nexus 4's back is fragile as fuck though because it's all glass. There's also no LTE. Otherwise it's pretty sweet.
