6-4 Biden HEY NOW! you do not score for lies, only if called out! fix your score for your own standing! He gets it for pointing out the lawsuits. you think a toss away line about lawsuits beats the "i dont push my beliefs on you" lie? Even without the lawsuits line. Biden dodged Ryan's charge and failed to answer it. You cannot just say that you will not push your religion on others when the charge is that your administration is funding abortions anytime, anywhere --- including supporting late term abortions. Abortions Anytime, Anywhere ehh? Get that to a super PAC quick!

The last few minutes of this debate were just fail all around. Bad question, bad moderating, why is she crying.

That's a difference between us. I don't care about fair because the real world isn't fair. I care about the strongest president winning. If you have to lie/mislead people about your positions then you're weak. Your ideas should stand up on their own merit.
Biden losing it a bit atm. what about Obama's performance in the debate? was he the "strongest president" in that one? I don't care about debate performances. I watch these in the hopes that one day the candidates will argue ideas. At least Obama wasn't up there lying/placing a smokescreen for his ideas. In my world, my vote is controlled by the party who places their ideas out for public scrutiny and doesn't try to mislead/lie, because that is strength to me. Right now, that's the Democratic party (libs would be closer, but I like my vote to matter) do you, maybe, have one or two lies that you remember that you think the Republicans are telling? so you could, you know, put it out there for the public scrutiny? Well, when Ryan said his plan was supported by a Democrat he was lying, as you could tell by his reaction when Biden called him out. it was originally supported by a Democrat. But not anymore. So he was intentionally trying to mislead people. Got it. when did he say that the Democrat still supported it? it's like when Obama calls the mandate a Republican idea, even though the Republican party hasn't supported it since the 90s. You can't say that "our plan has bipartisan support" when no one in the other party currently supports it. Sorry. That's unacceptable. but you can say: "our plan is a Republican idea!" when no one in the party supports it? 0.o
You can say "this plan was originally pitched by Republicans in the 90s." Which is I believe the party line. The origin of "this party began as a bipartisan one" is based upon pre-Scott Brown Congress, which is a separate muddier issue.

What a joke. she asked it to biden first because ryan gets the last word of the debate...... you're better than this It doesn't matter who answers it in what order. It is a stupid question.
And you are asking it to Biden who has soiled the whole debate with his tone?
seems like you cared who was asked, thats just what i took away from your wording

I'm facepalming at this debate right now.
Question about negative tone affecting campaigns. Ryan answers by saying how horrible a president Obama is and says nothing inspiring or good at all...
|
Damn, Ryan went on the attack for once.
|
The irony of Ryans answer.
|
Horrible answer from Ryan... Martha: "What do you think about the negative campaigns?" Ryan: "Attacks Obama"
/facepalm

No but it's really distracting and sounds like it.
edit: she just spoke again and her voice was cracking, sounds like she really is LOL

biden shut down ryan, but ryan went for it anyways. not a good idea.

Romney is uniquely qualified with a bipartisan record, not Obama...
wat.

Most people who argue against abortion don't know what homeostasis means... (pretty much means self-regulating, btw)
HOLY SHIT ROBOT RYAN. Anyone else get a weird bug through the stream where Ryan sounded like Robotnik for a second or so? lol

One would think that the democrats would figure out how to give a good closing arguments. Romney and Ryan have figured it out.
6-5 Biden.
And now she is just going give Biden the last word?
|
I think the right answer would have been to agree that it has been a tough election and a difficult road against a worthy opponent. The guy was looking for a positive answer, not another attack against the opposition. They should have expressed respect for each other at this final question, not more attacks
|
Ryan went for the lies per minute thing, just like at the convention speech, because Biden can't respond.
|
Biden, you're better than this. Don't just lunge back. Whyyyyyyy...playing into a trap. Should have sprung it on Ryan.
|
It's a DEBATE, they are SUPPOSED to attack each other.

i guess you didn't know that the embryo doesn't start in the womb.... huh? i think you should think about what "adaptation" means.
