If Obama is the man that America has chosen, then Obama is the man they will get, and the man they deserve. Let it be that he is everything you have all said that he is, for all our sakes. I predicted a large win. I'll own it. I was wrong. The polls weren't biased. The Democrats weren't lying. I would like to blame this on the media, and on the education system, and on all those things which, in my opinion, should prevent what has just occurred. But it is not the fault of the media, nor the system. It is the fault of Republicans and conservatives. Our failures are somewhat out of my reach to understand, though I recognize their existence. Sadly, you will not be getting a picture. Instead, I'll give you an honest appraisal: You've won a great victory for your side. It's a sad day for me, lads, and a happy one for you. Cheers and good fun. I think I'm gonna take a nice, long break and take a nice, long look at who I am and where I am. Until we meet again, keep the faith. Very graceful unlike Romney.

As an aside, hopefully the GOP can reinvent itself for 2016 so that your country as a whole won't have to deal with the farce of a conservative side it currently has.

Hopefully Obama can actually be effective for his second term now that he won't waste his time campaigning. Can't say that the better man for the job won, but I'm optimistic about the next four years. I just don't like Obama's fiscal policies and I hope that whoever comes after him will be extraordinary enough to deal with the deficit. Anyways, good election. I hope that what America wants will be good for it, but I worry. (If Romney still wins popular vote, man I'm gonna be pissed. But California will probably give Obama the lead there too) I heartfully disagree with everything you said. Obama didn't get anything done because the Republicans only goal was to make him a 1 term president and said no to anything he tried to do. Now they can't use that reason anymore and hopefully they will work together this time around.

It remains steeped in Constitutional language but it's practice is often repressive. This seems ridiculous to say due to it's seemingly obvious nature, but this party needs to move to the center. Shocking. Completely agree. I am actually not that liberal. However, the GOP's social policies and fiscal policies are just so insane at some points that I cannot even think of joining them.

Just about the only issue that matters to myself as a young professional trying to save as much money as I can right now. I lose out on time value of money from a market that isn't going to thrive under 4 more years of Obama and less money I can even attempt to save, awesome. Gold is rallying because this is a stock market held up on a house of cards (quantitative easing 3 or to infinity and beyond as the Fed can reevaluate at all times) from Ben Bernanke. Think about it, fucking GOLD is rallying and not something that matters for the US consumer (USD). Global growth is slowing and we just put in another couple years of divided politics that has shown they can't battle a massive and growing US debt too. We've bailed out our own markets with Bernanke's drugs, but gravity is setting in on global economics. Are we going to go Germany and start bailing out our neighbors? Hell no. Hope you all enjoy your shit 401(k) and ROTH IRA returns in those nice diversified stock portfolios. Should have been long gold and short USD! S&P 500 target of 1250 by year end from GS looks like a good bet now. If you don't have either a ROTH or 401(K) you probably shouldn't have voted. You don't even know what it's like to have and manage your own retirement money. If you don't know what either are you should get a job. What? are you sugesting Obama is going to crash the markets? that is about what I got from that but you message is fairly jumbled.

Looks like he won all the battleground states, so if that happens definitely doesn't lose popular vote.

I've seen it happen too often, that when the Republicans get into office their social policy baggage comes along with them, and I simply cannot agree with them on most issues.

(It's flat since) Our purchasing power is increasing thanks to the bailout. Gold rallied mainly due to the decision not to cute interest rates in Australia.
