What is indicating an Obama victory in Florida? Romney's slightly ahead with huge metropolitan areas still coming in, major Democrat strongholds. It's not over but I'd give the edge to Obama.

(as somebody posted recently) Pretty much. Older retirees tend to lean Republican, while the non-Cuban minority groups lean mostly Democrat.

(as somebody posted recently) it's incredibly conservative in huge swaths of rural areas. but the cities are democratic strongholds. influx of blue immigrants from new york always a factor. complex immigrant dynamic with red cubans and blue mexicans

We should all root for Romney to win Florida for the sole purpose of making the night more entertaining.

Any thoughts on what the likely causes are given that Congress has such a low approval rating, and people seem to be voting Democrat for the president? Is it all just redistricting? Gerrymandering is certainly a big part of it. Ya i believe there are only about 80 or 70 seats that are truly in play, so unless you get a wave election it is hard to gain ground in the house because of Gerrymandering among other things.

What is indicating an Obama victory in Florida? Like 90% of the uncounted votes are in Miami and Broward, really really blue counties. There are very few uncounted votes in the red ones. So barring a huge surprise in how these traditionally blue counties vote I'm guessing an Obama win. And I'm calling GG because Romney absolutely NEEDS FL. There may be a recount, however.

I think there's a more-than-insignificant chance we won't have to because Obama will win enough to get the EC without Florida. Though they'd still recount it I guess.
