I am waiting for the wave of conspiracy theories to arrive... This election was complete bullshit. Romney is scum but on Facebook, I kept hearing bullshit that Romney hates women, he supports rape, he wants to get rid of gay rights, and other nonsense.
Then I hear the conspiracy theories from the Romney side about the liberal media, New Black Panthers, Muslim lover who wants to destroy America. And then the libertarians who are always whining like kids that everyone is against them and they are the only ones who know what is going while worshiping their guru. And then then the leftists are...well divided as usual on who to vote for.
I know I am using hyperbolic statements and stereotypes here btw.

What's that blue language on the Florida ballot? Esperanto?

A news said 4 hours for voting at somewhere in Florida. Are officials that incapable of estimating the voter turnout? If it wasn't for Florida where it's not freezing cold in November, many more would have gone home after 1-2hours. I think the main issue with Florida is it's always extremely close, and it's worth so many electoral votes the candidates and the people expect the counting to be extremely precise. Florida and state/local government incompetence have a long history together and if I'm not mistaken, Florida has led the country in federal corruption charges amongst all 50 states for over 20 years.

If you truly look at the numbers, voting for Gary Johnson won't do crap. You'll be one of the few who actually vote for him. Either Romney or Obama is getting elected. So use your vote wisely for the 2 people that matter. I'm just telling people to be logical with their vote. You have the freedom to vote, don't throw that freedom away by being stupid with it. 5% of the vote for a party gets them public funding and a chance at the debates. But you probably already know that because you clearly know everything such as "obama lies and romney doesn't". It's a sad state of affairs when entire states have the same thought process as you do. Voting not on facts but what the tv tells you. It's so sad it's funny. You wanna talk about TV? None of the liberal news stations have once reported on the whole Libya thing. Not once. Fox news has. All the liberal news stations can talk about is how Obama is such a good guy for helping with Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts. But then they say Romney is horrible for helping. You wanna talk about believing what's on TV? How about you stop being so blind and look at how much Liberal news stations won't report ANYTHING that can hurt Obama. By the way, the recovery effort for Hurricane Sandy going good? Are you insane? Turn on the TV. There are people dying every day. I don't care what Obama wants you to believe, people have been interviewed and are DYING. They are eating out of the trash because of how poorly run this recovery effort is. And now there's a winter storm coming, and more will die. Don't talk about a good recovery effort, that's a downright lie. NYC dweller here. Recovery efforts are going on here and no one is really dying. Idk where you get your news from. Are you guys eating out the trash? lol. No. Some people here had their houses destroyed but they are staying at family members/neighbors house. I know one girl from my class has 14 people currently at her house. No power though. Nobody is mad or upset at the government for anything.
The real test is going to be Wednesday, I think. Weather is not going to be very pleasant anywhere that doesn't have power...or most places that do.

Can anybody please tell me what is the third language in the ballot ? You can read it like if it is french, but it's not written in french. Amazing. Thank you

Was brought up several pages prior. Most likely just a technical fault. Not likely any conspiracy to rig things - as it would be a tremendously stupid way to do it.
"Alright guys, how do we rig votes?" "Let's make it so they can't select one candidate, and if they try to, it goes to our candidate." "Good good.. how to make it better?" "Let's make it obvious to the user, and before they finalize their votes, so they can ask for assistance beforehand and alert the public."

"We are within hours of the first voting precincts closing tonight. For the next day or two lets keep discussions about poll bias and voter fraud to a minimum. These amount to conspiracy theories until there is something of substance to back them up and you will be warned/banned accordingly if you bring them into this thread. - Effective as of page 1205"
You see that big red warning at the top? Yea...

^^So a video of a malfunctioning voting machine isn't worth talking about? I think there's a possibility it is just a broken machine or something, but the warning you quoted says "something of substance" and a voting machine that clearly doesn't let people vote for Obama seems substantial to me.

That map hasn't been updated, its more for personal projections and a tool for understanding the possibilities the electoral college offers this year. I've been using it to do calculations for the last two months and the battle ground states, lean dem/rep states, and safe dem/rep states are exactly the same as when I started visiting the page. If you want to get an idea of where the states stand there are things out there such as the Princeton Electoral Consortium, 538, and RCP, take your choice.

Well, in counties with overwhelmingly elder population, they might get away with it.

Damn, that's genius!
But yeah - it seems it's a fault of the machines (which we should complain about, but not allude to conspiracy) that affects more than just Obama voters.

I never understood a fully automated voting machine.
In my province, we have paper ballots that you mark and you pass it through a voting machine that scans and records your vote, and drops it in a ballot boxe. It tells you if there is an error with the ballot, or if you left a section blank and you can choose to accept some errors. (Other errors like no ballot administrator inital can not be overwritten).
You get a paper trail, and everything is all counted at the end of the night. If someone contests the vote you have all the ballots and logs from each person who administers a ballot.
