She just said the person on the bottom was "face down" but we know for a fact Trayvon was shot not from his back but from the front, to his chest area. How can Zimmerman be on top and shoot Trayvon from the front when Trayvon was positioned face down. Yeah, that's what I thought I heard, too.

Couple of month ago a youngster was beaten to death by four people at a train station. But if you look at the relation, it's more likely to get shot in the US than being punched to death. I say that without looking at the numbers, but from "feeling", i'd say you have more homicides with guns than with bare fists (knives and bats n stuff not counted, since he did not have that and Zman wasn't attacked with it). If i'm wrong there, i apologize, but i actually don't think so. I'm not even arguing about gun control, or the right to have a gun. If you can be responsible with it, have fun. But if it "forces you" to make stupid decisions because you feel powerful/invincible, then it's a problem. Zman made stupid decisions, based on which a kid is dead now. I'm not saying he murdered him, i'm not saying he didn't - i'm just saying someone's dead (unnecessary) because of his judgement. And for that he has to be punished. In germany we say "Dummheit schützt vor Strafe nicht" ("stupidity doesn't prevent you from being punished"), the question to me is not IF he has to be punished, but for what. Try to keep in mind that it was some of Martin's poor judgement that led to the altercation, and ultimately his death, as well. If there had been no fight, presumably there would have been no death. If there had been, then this would have been an open and shut case for murder. We have a name for death caused by stupidity and/or negligence, it's called manslaughter. That's not what Zimmerman is being tried for, so the question you pose is moot. Either he committed murder or he killed in self defense, that is the question here. One verdict will result in punishment and one will not. I don't know where you get off saying "And for that he has to be punished." You are not his judge or his jury, so that is not for you to decide.

I mean, unless they entirely discredit both of those witnesses as liars/uncreditable, doesn't this directly counter Zimmerman's defense? Did this witness testify that her vision of the two was not broken between the gun shot and the man on top getting up ? I am wondering if she came upon it after the shot, while Zimmerman had gotten on top checking Trayvon for weapons or whatever, and that is when she saw him on top and he told her to call police, after the shot.

That guy may be the witness that gets Zimmerman to walk. For those wondering, I'm not really familiar with the facts of the case or the witnesses. I'm seeing most of this for the first time, so I'm keeping an open mind, though my gut tells me that Zimmerman should be acquitted.

The defense was getting her to describe what "wet grass" sounds like and she paused for 10 seconds and couldn't describe it. Then she said it sounded like two people rolling about on the ground. She was then asked what that sounded like and she said it sounded like the something touching the headphones, which the defense pointed out that that could be a number of things not specifically rolling on the ground. Her testimony is inconsistent and no one is going to send GZ to prison for the rest of his life over her testimony.
