Who is LiL Poison? LiL Poison is the youngest Professional Gamer in the World. He started his video gaming at a young age of 2 yrs old. Starting off with NBA2k for the Dreamcast console. He started to develop really quick with his skills and moved on to harder and more advanced games. When Halo for the Xbox console came out we started playing together and noticed how fast he developed his gaming skills even more. LiL Poison started his competition at 4 years old at a local New York Halo Tournament. Only to surprise the competition. His first Major Tournament that he attended was Halo 50K in Atlanta, Georgia. With his gamer name R2D2. Which after his name was changed to I'm5yrsOld. He changed his name to LiL Poison because he looks up to his uncle Poison who taught him most of the trade of Halo, and now Halo 2. In 2005 he was recruited by StK. The number one Halo and Halo 2 clan in the World. Right now he is also known as Baby OGRE 4. After a great show at MLG, Washington DC 2005, MLG recruiters signed LiL Poison and officially made LiL Poison the youngest signed Professional Gamer in the World. Now at the age of 7 years old, he is only getting better and more skilled. If he keeps it up he will be the best in the world.

whoa. thats really cool yet sad. that kid will have no social life T_T
|
Yeah i read it a while ago, there is no way in hell a 7 year old would beat me at halo 1 tho ><
|
Psh, he needs to play Starcraft...

People can play games and still have a social life you know.
EDIT: He will have some shitty vision as he grows older though.

there's a difference between being "talented and young" and just being "young"

there are some flaws.... 1. just because he has the title professional(some sponsers or whatever) doesnt mean he has "pro" skills 2.hes only signed up because they think its cute for a little boy to be playing games in tournys

this was posted a while back in sports/games forum, i think people came to the conclusion that he was overhyped and will never amount to anything (at least not to anything of boxer level, who he was compared to in the original thread)

I bet I still beat him in SC, I've been playing it since before he was born.

How does a 2 year old have the motor skills to play NBA2k... That's amazing.

Cause he's so ugly? hahaha
Anyhow, the kid isn't even a top player, really. Some site did an interview with him, and he named his father, or uncle something... as the #1 Halo player in the world, and himself as #2, when, in fact, neither of them were anywhere near that. At the time, Zyos was #1, and someone else was #2 (not sure who, really).

First question that came to my mind.
EDIT: Well here's one interview of the kid but it doesn't seem to be the right one.

Yeah I already posted an article about this kid about 4 months ago, I cant find the thread though. Interestin stuff, but I wouldnt believe it until I saw it.

Seeing as how Mozart composed his first symphony (I think) by the age of 7, I'm not terribly surprised.

wait. so why does he not win a WCG qualifier?
And why isnt there a first person VOD of him playing. I have a difficult time picturing his hands being able to melee and throw nades. He definitely has to use the small XBox controllers as well. And that Ogre person he mentions has never even gotten into the finals for the USA...so I think we are not getting a real picture of his skills.
He might be really good for his age, but he is still a little kid. He might very well become one of the best in the world, but by that time halo 2 wont even be played and XBox will be outdated.
|
o and bill, he said in the interview he only playes 2 hours a day after homework.
|
|
Zyos = 1# halo gamer I thought? He won the world championship at WCG 2 years in a row!

Next year Halo 2 is outdated, more than likely. Ogre1 and Ogre2 were supposed to be pretty top players back in the day, that's what someone else here said a long time ago (asking for info on Halo), but they were double team players. At any rate, that's exactly my point on this kid: he's never won anything. They're hyping him because he's a little kid that plays games, just like those gamer girls that there was a thread on not that long ago. They suck, compared to top players, but they are still made a big deal out of.

Gotta give them credit for beating the odds, even if they aren't at the top of the game.
Similarly, many of us are interested to hear about how non-koreans perform in korea even though they, too, "suck" compared to top players.

his parents own, and yeah
I think GTR-2-GO can take him 1v1
|
yea, these things about "special" people being good at video games (i.e, little kids, blind kids, retarded kids) are always greatly exagerated, hes probably really good for his age but was only recruited for that pro team because he's so young.
|
ya gotta admit that blind sc player vs boxer was entertaining

any difference between CS and Halo?
he should switch to CS and dominate and yeh i'd probably own him

Now that's badass. I wonder if he'll keep getting better at new games in the coming years and continue to gain popularity. Perhaps he can be the American Boxer.

Wow, that kid ruined his life THAT early.

7 year old kids dont have any homework ? hm ^_^
when i was at that age i spent all my time outside beating up other kids and being a pain in everyones ass... sure as hell a lot more fun than playing computer games!

i would have raped him in nba 2k22

CS is more realistic than Halo, I think.

What is the age rating for Halo 2 anyway ?

I like how the article fails to mention where he placed in any of the tournaments. I bet he sucks
|
this kid gonna get super tired of games when he reaches his teenage years, i mean everyone wants to quit something they started when they were 2, hes gonna go through intence mental stress and leave all games for the rest of his life. He then will become the president of the USA

As someone who has actually played this kid (halo isnt big enough that the pros only play private games) i can say that hes not really that good.
Its just like those "frag dolls", people make such a big deal and theyre not even good. SUre hes good for his age, but he cant compete with the older pros. ANd it says hes signed to that pro team, but if you look at their lineup in all the tournaments, he never even plays.
and plus: look at his picture on the site, how can you not hate him.
|
ive met him. yes he is amazing
edit: for all of you who think they can beat him ... no you cant. Unless you are a high level MLG player you have no chance, not that halo2 is a 1v1 game anyway. It's basically balanced for 4v4.

I've watched him play and i still dont think it makes sense lol but he does it. And Ogre 1 and Ogre 2 (they are twins) are by far the best halo 1 and halo 2 players in the world no questions asked. THey play for team 3D (aka STK) and have won every tournament they have been to expect one where they got second. They simply havn't played in WCG before because of the format but this year they won USA and will be going to the world finals.

he's also my dad
he impregnated my mom at the precocious age of -27

Its hard to say individual stats because as the guy above you said, MLG halo is mostly 4v4. I was with 3 team members and we played against him and 3 other people. The games were TS and some objective games on lockout if i remember. He IS good for his age and pretty good overall but ppl are making such a big deal out of it and he hasnt even won anything.
|
i saw the frag dolls at MLG philly they wernt entered in the event they were a side show being used to advertise new games. Im not really sure how skilled they are but i think that they are more a publicity stunt than anything. However, at philly there were quite a few skilled female gamer teams that played in the event.

Read about him last month in EGM. Hes gonna need a life when he hits his teen years.

He tried CS and he was only mediocre.

Well, if this guy ever finds he's not good enough at gaming, he has many other special talents to fall back on, including spelling!

But the games he is playing are forbidden from his age

Nice post tec27
This may be hypocritical for me to say, but get a bad feeling hearing about a kid weened on video games from birth. It is an important time for development...so I'm told. It's supposed to be a roll of the dice how a kid turns out, but good parents like encourage good turnouts by cheating the dice as much as possible, with selective schools, playing classical music or other things I have no idea of. But raising him on games (a Microsoft game!)...this is like cheating the dice the other way around. I'm trying to picture the awful result of some kid raised in battle.net type culture :o But maybe it is better than parents who raise their kids with teletubbies and pokemon. I guess he'll have the edge on those poor kids.
Who here played games at a comparably young age? I think when I was 5 I played Space Quest 1 and such adventure games. Better game than Halo. But that was the tiniest fraction of the time, the rest I definitely wouldn't trade for video gaming, let alone Halo. Maybe I have an uncommonly low opinion of the game, but leaving a kid on Halo sounds like abuse. Give him Starcraft for gods sake!

He'll be fine. There will be plenty of other computer nerds and he will be their dictator, ruling them with verbal sarcasm developed from xbox-live.

But never played anything online until SC I think (the odd game here and there I guess).

I started playing snes games at the age of 3~4 I think. I know super mario world by heart lol
My parents were actually not that careless to let me play all the time though. We (me + sisters) would get the controllers like once a week and then got to play
Anyway, it's sick to let a kid play that much videogames at such a young age :/

I know this is going way off topic here, but does anyone play Halo 2 anymore? If you do, add me: BadMagick1979 on your list. (That's obviously my gamertag) Just message saying you're from TL, and I'll make sure to add, too. I need more people to play with, and I'm tired of faggot glitchers and shit. (that's why my h2h level is so bad; I had about 15-20 games minimum, where faggots super jump, or mod, or hit the delay button on their modem; it's so fucking gay)
By the way, kid's not that good. No h2h rating, and a 34 Team, 27 Double team = not that good.

There are too many games out there; it is impossible for him to pwn at everything. If he owns me in Halo2, I'll keep switching games until I own him, like i'll switch to CS, then SC, then WC3, then Diablo, then SimCity, then The Sims, then Solitaire, etc.
YEAH!!! I PWN U! purepwnage.com
