Brilliant work. Strong, iconic designs. You can see the obvious contemporary influences but it's translated so well.
If only characters were half as interesting as they used to be.

This is so strange yesterday a fried bought a Storm Trooper figure and we were playing a Battlestar Galactica board game. And the guy who did stuff like this:

His designs are some of the founding pillars of sci-fi as we know it, influencing countless other artists and films no doubt.

Really cool art. I love how he took swords and shields and made them futuristic looking. Sadly, Lucas has not given this man as much credit as he clearly deserves.

Damn... I like the original streamlined Vader helmet... why couldn't they have had that one?
Stormtroopers with shields wouldn't be a bad idea either, it would at least give them an excuse to aim improperly (holding a rifle with only one hand is hard)
