and perhaps recommendations for ocbds/casual shirts i can just roll up and wear without looking too formal? nothing too expensive please, low-mid - mid quality / low - mid prices please
mom is actually telling me to spend some money because i spent only $50 the first 2 months of college lol.. might as well
If you are layering a shirt over an undershirt and your nipples are showing...maybe you just have really prominent nipples? Calvin Klein cotton stretch t-shirts are far and away the best. You just missed their semi annual sale.

yea seriously uniqlo store gonna break my bank

October surprise! But seriously, great news for us not living in the few US cities that currently have one.

So after looking there's really not much I want lol. I'm pretty much gonna get a lambswool crew and... That's it.
I want the perfect fit cargos or whatever but 34 height too tall.... Debating on merino/lamb cardi but honestly eh.
I don't need new denim yet, nor do I really wanna buy button up shirts atm. I'm thinking about sweats...
I'm kinda a stickler for quality/material and i don't really like polyester. I'd appreciate any recommendations tho.

Hahaha, I don't know if this is real or not, but I fully support you.
Honestly, Lookbook.nu hardcore. That site is retarded awesome for trendy mofos and borderline hipster rejects. In fact, I'm jealous of a whole lot of posts on there, but mostly on the merit of age as I can wear the same clothes as I please (and probably do it better). Believe it or not, Instagram also has quite a good group of fashionistas doing their thing. Get creative with some hashtags and check it out.

Club Monaco anyone? :DDDDD

For people looking to start out, mfa (and in extension, tumblr/instagram) is garbage imo - at least that's what I hear from other people, coupled with the short time I spent browsing their imgur gallery. I rarely browse any of the aforementioned websites, so I guess you can take my opinion with some salt. Lurk sf/sufu for a couple months before making any purchases, and when you do make purchases, don't buy a bunch of clothes in bulk. Decide if each piece of clothing is going to suit you in the long run. Don't make that decision to buy entire outfits of clothes and regret that decision half a year later when you realize none of it really fits your style.

They also shrunk the length but it's less than a full inch. There are specific measurements detailed on their site for all articles of clothing.

Tumblr #menswear has good information and articles but its not really a place for looks. Also not entry level with regards to price and material (runway looks at times) generally. #mensfashion is really bad lookbook shit generally but there's a few gems.
I wish id gotten this before

I find them really annoying to wear. is that a problem? lol i actually didnt think about that
I didn't realize you meant just a regular t-shirt. For that I suggest going to your local shopping center and trying on a bunch of different brands until you find something that suits your body and style. In the USA I like Express (reasonable prices and great sales, good fit, good construction) and H&M (cheaper, but typically tight and cheaply constructed).
For most shirts (except the very tight and or flimsy/sheer) I suggest an undershirt. I used to be very anti-undershirt, but I realized that a fitted undershirt helps to smooth out your body and generally makes most shirts fit better. It may take some getting used to, but I'd give it a try. Also, it helps protects your shirts from showing sweat, prevents staining, and generally helps them last longer.

Reading SF is a dangerous hobby, I ended up buying so much expensive 'essentials' (mostly shoes and leather goods) since I started reading SF. If my worked required me to wear ties and suits, I'm sure I'd've 'invested' thousands in those as well, and end up with countless number of ties and squares.
I don't recommend reading SF as it's too hardcore (it's like TL for clothes really), and you just eventually turn into one of those people who look at other people's shoes and think, 'shit shoes'.
Yep...

Haha I'm too much of a brandwhore to go diehard on SF. But i mean, i havent followed a lot of it because i'm a college student with no need for leather goods apart from my wallet.
But yeah that's a good point

Been thinking about importing a pair of these:
from the US if I can find a deal for around ~150 euro. I am tall (~1.90m) and somewhat slender, so a narrow/small sized combat boot such as these could fit me pretty well I think. Not sure if I'm asking the right question here, but do you guys have ideas for clothing/outfit style to go with it? Or can combat boots like these be made to fit with most things in terms of appearance?

^ http://www.shoeline.com/asp/dcpItem.asp?style=B350-1510 Don't know how much shipping is.to Europe.
Buying shoes online sucks though, because you wouldn't know how they fit (length, width and last) until you actually try them on.
I think they could work with jeans or something similarly casual.

I'm glad you wanted to insert your personal preferences based on the original question from the poster I responded to, but based on what he was actually aiming to look like, Lookbook is probably the better suggestion. It might not bring the attention that you specifically are trying to get, but it's what he seems to be aiming for. Most people aren't ready to drop the kind of coin SF demands either, especially when they are completely new to the idea of buying higher end clothes. That's all there is to it. 99% of people do not know whether a pair of boots are from Payless or John Varvatos and unless he's trying to please the 1% of SF frequents out there, it's probably not worth overlooking accessible inspiration sources like Instagram, too.

I feel like a boot like this can go with anything, dressed right down to jeans and a tee, or dressed up to the nines. Combat boots are sort of silly looking to me, you have to be pretty BA to pull it off. The Wolverine 1000 mile boot.
