I have the Nylon Canvas Computer Field Bag shown here: http://www.revolveclothing.com/DisplayProduct.jsp?product=JSPA-UA1&c= I'm also in Canada, Revolve Clothing was one of the only site that would actually ship here. Obviously this is the laptop messenger bag - they have a lot of other messenger bags (http://www.jackspade.com/messenger-bags/messenger-bags-for-men/bags-messenger-bags,default,sc.html). I can only comment on this one ![]() Some details: The build quality is very nice. the canvas is not rigid, but it's fairly heavy so it protects my laptop well. The inside of the bag is lined green. The main flap uses velcro to stay shut, which is easier to deal with one-handed than clips. This bag has a ton of pockets, but all but one (there is a pretty big/deep open pocket on the back of the bag) are hidden by the flap. The bag looks simple from the outside but it's still super versatile - you'll find a pocket for everything. However you'll pretty much always have to open the flap to access them. The main compartment is divided in two and it's pocket galore in there. 3 zipped pockets of various sizes, a lot of open pockets to put pens or small documents in. There's a pocket with a small hole for headphones, so you can have your iPod in there as well. There is no shoulder pad on the strap, for people that care about such things. Overall, really happy with this bag. I was hoping to buy it in a color other than black - they are just hard to find here - you might have better luck!

Added to the OP quality post section @ book: sorry but the outfit does nothing for me, square toed shoes are a no go. The jeans I'm OK with. Pre faded as those appear to be, I am not a fan of but those aren't awful. The shirt is to eccentric for me, and more importantly it is also to big on you. I am generally not a big fan of fossil watches, but I can't really see that one, they do make a few that I think are decent. @ Mizu: Theres a big range between "Regular and boot cut" and an all out skinny jean. Try the Levis 510, 511, 513 and 514. They will all be slimmer then their regular cuts and wont flare like the ugly boot cuts. The 510 is the skinniest and depending on the person can be skin tight, to just a nice very slim cut, from there I listed them from slimmest to least slim. Theres also the 508 (used to be called) 521, if you have bigger thighs, but want the jean to taper below the knee.

Going to a prom (think that is the correct translation - a party where girls come in full dress with long skirts and guys come in butterflies) but have yet to find a suit. Are there any advice you can give to an extremely pale person when it comes to choosing color and what price-range I should stay within. I am not going to wear the suit often at all, maybe 1-2 times a year. What I'm most concerned about is the suits pattern and color, and the details like boutonnière or not or slim/normal size tie. If anyone has a quick-read guide on suits please send it this way. I read most MFA on suits, but couldn't really find anything significant on how to match skincolor.

-Black and only black -Peak lapel maybe shawl lapel NOT notch lapel -Black bow tie -White Tuxedo shirt -Cummerbund -Black Patent Leather shoes, or very very well shined black oxfords, but only if they are actual oxfords, not bluchers which are commonly sold as oxfords. -Boutonniere is fine if you have a date and it should match her corsage. -Rock a pocket square of some type. If you dont have a date, a white or red (I prefer white) silk pocket square. If you have a date, either a pocket square which matches her dress or a white pocket square, red is eliminated here unless her dress is red because you don't want to clash. If you actually meant a regular suit and not a tuxedo, you have a lot more options, and I can go into some detail about suits if you want.

Prom is an event held in almost all high schools, which is generally a black tie event, meaning guys wear tuxedos. You seem to talking about a event where guys wear tuxedos based on your statement that it is like prom and girls coming in "full dress." If you are getting a tuxedo you want: -Black and only black -Peak lapel maybe shawl lapel NOT notch lapel -Black bow tie -White Tuxedo shirt -Cummerbund -Black Patent Leather shoes, or very very well shined black oxfords, but only if they are actual oxfords, not bluchers which are commonly sold as oxfords. -Boutonniere is fine if you have a date and it should match her corsage. -Rock a pocket square of some type. I'm not sure how it is in his culture, but we never wore bow ties and most of us had no pocket squares at our proms. Furthermore, our vests and ties matched our dates' dresses (so non-black was perfectly acceptable). But that was high school, and I'm not sure exactly what his occasion translates to.

There is not really a translation in English for the event, but I think prom would be the closest. Girls come in long dresses and guys come in suits - We eat a good meal and dance cha cha cha and lanciers. I'm pretty sure it would be over the top to come in a tux, but I think I'll ask my friends to see how they are dressing. I'm 19 by the way (as of today, lol) and so are all my friends, not sure if age has got something to do with how you dress. Almost certain that the suits being worn are black 99% of the time.

I think if you ask around and figure out what the norm is for that specific event (black suit, not tux, etc.), the people on this thread could help you with some slight adjustments (without making you seem like you don't fit in to the party) ![]() You can stand out in a positive or negative way, right? Things like hairstyle or the fit of your clothes or an extra accessory are small adjustments that can add a little something special. Wearing color x when everyone else wears color y (for some cultural or societal reason), or wearing something controversial and edgy at a formal party just because you think it'll get people talking can tend to call the wrong kind of attention to yourself. Just my two cents ![]() Once you have a foundational idea of what you'll be wearing, I'm sure that one or two suggestions could be made by those in this thread to build upon it, if you'd like them! Pictures are always helpful too ![]()

Since you're in Canada just a heads up, The Bay has Fossil canvas messenger bags on sale quite often. Years ago I got one from them for ~$75ish I think, and it's lasted me years while being stuffed full of books and other stuff and being dragged around the world. They aren't the most stylish of bags but are very practical/strong. Also random question, I feel like buying something totally random that I don't have and decided on a denim jacket. How should I make it work? For reference I'm Asian, 6'4"ish, and skinny.

speaking of shoes, I'm looking to finally invest in a brown dress shoe (current pair being black). I'd like one I can use multiple times a week, but I have no idea what style to get. Should I go with wingtips, oxfords, something? Most of my shoes are sneakers and I need something for when I want to dress nicer than sneakers, that can be work when I need to dress up too. I'm just really lost as to what style is the best to start with, as I'll probably invest in this now and not buy another shoe for a fair amount of time. Price point at around $150 max, give or take of course. x_x.
