Thanks, I'm a S / EU 48. I really should go get my measurements done haha.
@FF, just go out and try shit on, take pics and get a second opinion if you feel like sharing. Most brick and mortar stores have good return policies so you can always return it. Just go in with some sort of plan and look at the store online or check the store inventory before you go in.

Those look like fine ideas, FFGenerations. Usually I have some favorite shops for tops and others for bottoms and etc, idem for outerwear and shoes. But some brands/shops make good everything, so don't worry too much about that. I buy exclusively online though.
Know your measurements precisely though (or have them taken for you), and buy clothes that fit you, not too tight, not too loose.

I'm always confused by sweatpants. It's something you would never see on fashion-savvy folks where I live. Do you wear them exclusively for sports and hanging out when you're home or do you wear them also to, like, go to work or in the evening?
|
|
Im a student so i wear them to class... But pmuch i wear sweats when i dont feel like pants but its cold or i probably should not show up in underwear. Not really to work out, more to just lounge around or hang out.
|
Haha yeah, Asos also has some smart wool sweatpants this season. Doesn't look bad.
|
The writing on that dappered site... Such blog, very meh
Wool sweats seem so unecessary. Unless its a really nice wool its too scratchy to be comfy and its too hot to feel good, especially when thick like sweatpants are. And expensive.
Seems like too much effort for an article of clothing based on not putting effort
|
well what do you expect when their mission statement starts with with 'Fashion is temporary and expensive. Style is timeless and affordable.'
and those pants have been around forever in different styles - harem pants, jogging pants, flight pants, etc etc

what do i do if i was gonna get wool sweats anyway

No point in buying that unless he drops it down to <$200. Those bombers sold like shit, I've seen them on sale in pretty much every shop that stocked it (even tres-bien iirc)
Also EU 48 is M, not S..
Edit: thoughts on this ivory toj? http://www.grailed.com/listings/19984-temple-of-jawnz-ivory-moto-2011
Reckon it's as hard to pull off as it looks? It's pretty cheap and in my size though..

EU 48 is EU M, and US S ;D

I've thought about buying a white stooges before but I ended up realizing they're a bit too ostentatious and hard to match with which is unfortunate because white/bone/shell colored leather is gorgeous. I definitely plan on getting white colored boots in the future though.

Hold the fuck on....
When I'm not impressing bitches*, I'm in a motherfucking track suit like a drug dealer, first off, I they're the most comfortable to be in all day, it just so happens all that day could be in public. Second thing, you're sure to have a significant advantage fighting off people in jeans and leather shit. Practically, it's the ultimate suit, I don't think those Samurai guys had a better thing than a track suit, and they were the ultimate warriors. Sure, it may not be the most classy, but at the end of the day, your survival chances are the highest in a fucking track suit. Compare it to a motorcyclist; he has a fucking helmet, you can't break that with a fucking sledgehammer, but his leather ass gear constricts his movement so much that you can impale him by pushing him off balance. Businessmen? Classy as fuck, but wait what? 1) It's very tight suit 2) it's light armor... in conclusion; it's the worst of both worlds. You're getting punched in the face and stabbed in the nearest suspicious alley. However...
*female dogs
The flip side of the coin:
Despite being the ultimate situational combat suit, tracksuit isn't the best thing if you want to impress a female. My guess is that females decide on how much suvival chance are we willing to risk in order to impress them (by wearing tight shit, heavy shit). The more attributes it reduces, the more appealing it gets to a female (rule of thumb). Now, when I'm at the library, scouting for female students that are so white they can't even (no racism, we just don't have so much racial diversity here) I like to wear tight shit. If you don't dress like Lady Gaga, there is quite a bit of chance your Charisma score will be intact. Make sure your neck is exposed to show that you're ready to expose your most vunerable spot just for female, which will translate to; I am ready to risk to protect what's mine vis-à-vis your babies. Alternatively you can wear c-collar to fake out a combat expirience.
I mean, you can say I'm not classy in a track suit but I have a guard of a samurai and can wear it well.
My 2 cents...

sports shorts + vest is less encumbering than tracksuit fyi (but also less protection)
shirt says to me "i have the confidence to fight in difficult clothing" but also "i'm powerful enough that people won't try to fuck with me regardless". (see: bouncers, suited mobsters)
i think it depends on your style... tracksuit can be very discreet, which also says "i'm dangerous but i don't need to show it...be wary"
