tried on 3 colours and found them fit quite differently to one another also, took the best fit, crotch looks fine (not huge) on these. £30 a white shirt...actually i wanted a blue one but they had fuck all selection so i just picked up the white one before i went home. this is in a proper shop TM Lewin? with a tape measure, he measured me 16.5 neck / 34.5 sleeve and there were only like 5 shirts of that size so i just grabbed one. can get more online im guessing. these were "FULL FITTED" style instead of "slim fit style". i think this white material is too hot too... oh well. the blue "try on" ones looked REALLY good i went into some of the super expensive brand shops where they have shirts for like £55 each with fancy lining , but they just go by size "4" or size "5".... i tried both on and neither looked very good , whereas the "full fitted 16.5/34.5" shirts in the other shop looked amazing. its weird coz i thought you get the super quality in these expensive brand shops but if they only do sizes like "4" instead of fitted styles then how can they be that good..?? i might take this white shirt back (maybe you cant tho since its opened), trade it for a patterened one which would be in a lighter material. maybe im being fussy tho, it has TM Lewin on the label so i guess its their highest quality stuff £45 (reduced lol) black trouser Austin Reed. i was struggling to find stuff to try on that wasn't £100 and found this. i tried on another "maturer" looking version (grey, more official material" but eventually decided this just fitted better and seemed to look better too. WHAT I ALMOST BOUGHT Paul Smiths mens black cowl (can't find it online.......why not?) for £95 i first found a grey one in FCUK for like £30 and got them to hold it until i bought some jeans. then i found the paul smith one. why is NOTHING coming up online for these items? im tempted to go tomorrow to tesco and buy a £140 motorolo phone then go and buy this and put it on and take a photo and come back and show you guys. BECAUSE the guy said there is no return policy, only exchange for credit..................... pix (so unflattering in this light and angles that i had to cheat a bit for angles. also i have a feeling this shirt doesnt look as good as the others i tried) + Show Spoiler + ![]() ![]() WHAT I DIDNT BUY i could only find light/white cream trouser for £100 or in slim style . i can't wear anything in slim style (or anything that gets near to slim), i dont know how fucking ANYONE can wear that shit. i literally stand there with a ballsack cameltoe and walk up to the woman and say IS MY CROTCH SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE THIS IT HURTS?? i found one that was the perfect colour and barely wearable (probably i look like a jigolo) but honestly if i spend another month at the gym it would be unwearable so no point :/

Buying things slim fit doesn't necessarily look good on everyone. Tomorrow I'll try and find a picture of the French and Japanese leaders met and the French guy wore a slim fit suit and looked like shit while the Japanese dude looked slick in a regular cut suit that fit his body better.

length you want is unbuttoned and down all the way, the sleeve should end at the part of your hand between your thumb and index (that little flap of skin). that way there's enough room for a little give when you bend your elbow, but when you button the cuff, it ends at just a little past your wrist also a formality thing - cufflink shirts are almost always only worn with suits or a jacket of some type. they'd look out of place with anything less, in case you were planning on wearing that shirt with mostly jeans, or even dress pants and no jacket. generally, lower formality settings require more casual fabrics (hence the OCBD recommendation, but also appropriate: flannels, chambray, melange, and patterns). things like broadcloth, poplin, generally smoother, less rough looking fabrics are reserved for suit required. here's a cool primer on fabrics (though not necessarily the formality), for anyone else interested. http://propercloth.com/reference/dress-shirt-fabrics/ a lot of them have a lot of history as well, and aren't necessarily only for shirting (melange i've seen more for pants, obv denim is denim, etc). in case that fascinates anyone here. i spent too much time reading stuff like A Suitable Wardrobe and know/care about this stuff too much. but I figure, especially if you're interested in that aesthetic FFG, it's good to know about the history and why "modern dress." especially business attire, is what it is.

their website says their returns policy is "send it back" so maybe i can just go to the shop tomorrow and exchange the shirt (and get one that doesn't use cufflinks ..... ).

I'm also really wary of ordering clothes online. Sizing is inconsistent between stores and inconsistent even within the same store so I need to try something on. For example I have an XL(!!!!) sized duffel coat from Zara, but I wear a medium sized tee shirt from basically anywhere. What do you do for work?

I'm still going to get the jacket if they have it though, 25% off is good enough for me. I feel like to really turn heads you need to get a hairstyle like these kids here. One of the female ones.

In the market for new ones. I want the SLP 15.5cms but I don't think I'll be buying those any time soon. Perhaps I'll buy another pair of N&F super skinny guys in 1 size larger
