i don't see any problem at all wearing those together with jeans

I know It's a pretty general question, but how the fuck do I find a competent (affordable) tailor if I have no damn clue where to start looking?
Anything I should/can look out for to sort out the bad/lower quality ones or anything like that?

imo: t-shirt and blazer combo was a disaster; suits are a big improvement, but those big shiny ties with flat knots are inelegant and distracting, and the casters' shirts do not fit (undershirt peeking out from beneath collar → your collar is at least 2 sizes too big). got to say, I was impressed at the inclusion of PS though. go GSL wardrobe people.
actually the move to suits for Tastosis at GSL was kind of important to me, since it was a big gesture that GOM is taking its foreign broadcast as the Korean broadcast (Korean SC casters have been wearing suits, or at least shirt+tie, forever)
I know it probably wouldn't be appropriate for everyday casting, but nobody has looked better than Tasteless + Artosis did in their tuxes at the Blizz Cup Finals (Artosis especially; Tasteless's jacket is blousing)

I've learned what I know almost exclusively from reading blogs.

So. Ray Bans. Cool or cliche?
How about IZOD?

I'm a high school teacher (Italian), and while the dress code is relatively lax (any pants that aren't jeans or sweats basically and a collared shirt), I make it a point to dress as nicely as possible every day. I want the kids to see that you can dress like an adult and not look stupid and secondly I really stand out for the bads who wear the ugliest pants I've ever seen and disgusting polo shirts.
A few things I'm looking for: 1. A quality belt that is properly treated so the dye does not rub onto my pants (holy shit I was so raged when this happened to my brand new pants). 2. Good quality skinny/narrow ties (2-2.5 inches wide; my frame is too small imo to really go with anything bigger) - my last few have been from express and I quite like them actually. I only have a solid black and blue (silk) right now. My awesome grey tie with stripes got ruined when I dumped yogurt on it -_-;
Gonna add that: 1. I think blazer/t-shirt/dark jeans definitely works if everything fits nicely and you choose your colors wisely. I just got complimented on it at work today actually. 2. Tie with no jacket can work with the right tie as long as you've got a tie bar.

I have a pair in prescription sunglasses. I think they can look nice if you avoid their flashier models

Raybans are timeless. They offer many different styles to fit certain faces. I would suggest spending a bit more to get some Persols. They offer similar styles but at a better quality and arent as common as Raybans.

Quality Belt: Check out House of Fleming http://www.houseoffleming.com/ they don't have the best website, but I have dealt with them personally. They use high quality materials you wont have any bleeding problems, they will also custom make a belt any way you want. Belts start around $75, but will last forever.
http://www.saddlebackleather.com/Products/Belts/ also makes some nice leather products, no dress belts all 1.5 inches+
Skinny ties I have no idea as a particular place to get them.
I hate the blazer and t-shirt look. Blazer, button down and jeans yes. T-shirt no. I also disagree with your tie and jacket statement. The tie was made to complement the jacket, and looks out of place without it, although a tie bar would probably improve the look of a tie without a jacket I still don't like it. Out of curiosity what do you wear most days as a teacher?
