I actually don't use any adblocks at all. All the best websites are designed with consideration for the user, and the obtrusiveness of ads is one way I gauge if I ever want to revisit a website. Those who need adblocks must really hate the idea of ads, or must frequently visit some very obnoxious websites. This thread is interesting to see the different ways people rationalise their behaviour... | ||

1. it is a a very unproductive activity for society, in which yet a lot of money, time, and energy is thrown (away). How many people work to make ads? and for what purpose? Wouldn't all this be better used somewhere else? 2. the content of ads is generally not a celebration of the intelligence of man. Quite the contrary. I am definitely willing subscribe to teamliquid, like paying a monthly fee; sure they deserve it. I do that for other websites, like news sites. I suggest that TL organizes this (if you are a subscriber, we suppress ads for you). But no ads sorry | ||

Also, some element on the site just refused to load after I disabled blocking, keeping the site in a semi-broken state until I hit stop in my browser. | ||
