Why should I have to deal with that on TL, especially when I can go directly to the content generator's website to the view that same content and support them directly? I should not have to put my computer at risk in order to view free content, especially when it is third party content. And this doesn't support eSports--it supports TL (I also wonder how much of the ad revenue from streams goes to the content creators? if any, will they be pleased to learn that TL is essentially blocking access to their content for its own gain?). So a loud message to TL: do not ever ask anyone to not utilize a feature on their computer that is desirable for both its convenience and the added safety it provides to the user for your benefit--it makes you look less than legitimate. And I'll state one of my pet peeves directly: don't fucking play the "support eSports" card. Edit: And it's also bad from a website usability standpoint, which in turn will decrease traffic. If this stays on as it is, I won't use TL to view streams. God.. You're fucking stupid, you know that right? User was warned for this post

STOP HURTING ESPORTS (that's a joke) ? I think it would be much funnier than DON'T HURT THIS ELEPHANT and it wouldn't annoy people who don't see it's a joke.

How does it not help...... Through esports out the fucking window for a second and think, does an add hurt me at all? No it doesn't, does an add help Team Liquid? Yes...... Does Team Liquid run the largest community website, host a tournament, and have their own professional team? Yes... So how the fuck are you not hurting esports lol? I am not saying that Team Liquid is ESPORTS, but it defiantly plays its hand in the scene. Oh, I don't know why you would want to look at a cartoon elephant crying anyway, seriously doesn't make any sense... T_T ;;

Think about this for a second, you are saying click-able links on a starcraft community website are not going to be safe for your computer.... I guess I give up, I don't really understand how people can be mad about 2 banners on a fucking screen and then say that they don't want to use it because it benefits the forum that they are currently typing on.... Don't even get me started on streams....... Let me put it like this... Would you like to go to work and not get paid 20% of that you were expecting because your boss decided to not pay you for an arbitrary reason PS If Adds support TL and TL supports ESPORTS, then how does TL not help esports?

I don't see any reason to. TL is a safe site, R1CH and Hot_Bid keep it that way, the ads are not at all annoying, I have the patience to sit through an ad while watching a stream if I have to. to not support the community you love for small personal inconveniences is selfish and pathetic.

TL is largely dependent on ad revenue for its operation. What a lot of these guys don't seem to realize is that Hot_Bid, R1CH, Kennigit, Chill etc. need money not only to sustain themselves but to run this site. TL may have a lot of user made content, but it is not user constructed. Blocking adds and this revenue for the site not only (theoretically) makes life more difficult for TL staff and admins, it also will negatively affect your experience on the website as a whole, so why would you deny that revenue? Not only is using adblock selfish, its stupid even from an entirely selfish perspective. And if you're afraid of unsafe clickable adds, don't click.

The content is free because of ad revenue. If the internet community is eager to move towards all quality content sites being pay sites then by all means do NOT do the smallest thing possible by disabling adblock for a site that you enjoy. Not only did the TL banners inspire me to disable my adblock on this site, they inspired me to disable it on ALL sites that I truly enjoy and support. Also the Twitch advertisements arent nearly as bad as the old streaming ads that would activate every 15 minutes even if its right in the middle of the damn OSL finals...(which was what caused me to start using adblock in the first place 2 years ago.)

We mock people that keep saying that... Your doubt that adblock is hurting ESPORTS is in fact hurting ESPORTS.

I understand if you hear the message and still don't want to disable it. That's fine, we're not going to ban people or out people or do anything, but I believe we're well within our rights to simply ask once. If it's that big a deal, it takes you another 2 seconds to block the elephant banner ...

Edit: I would turn it back off if the ads seemed more relevant, I really don't mind the elephant banner being there, nor something under the link to TLAF on the right. Edit 2: The OP should state what browser those instructions are for.
