And I'll state one of my pet peeves directly: don't fucking play the "support eSports" card. Edit: And it's also bad from a website usability standpoint, which in turn will decrease traffic. If this stays on as it is, I won't use TL to view streams.

TL is a community site for some esports, but it does not directly invest its assets to esports. Teamliquid is the largest community hub for SC2, which is currently the leading game in esports. TL helps bring traffic to tournaments and events, and helps bring exposure to teams and players. Hell, most people check on their favorites streamers through the TL interface. It may not be direct, but they're still doing a whole lot.

I would say TL's ads are really small compares to the other sites. And by unblocking the site would generate a revenue for the site we love, people still refuse to do it. Moreover, they go to players' streams to watch them play and find some entertainment, yet they refuse to support those players by watching a 10 seconds ad. They provide entertainment and people just want it for free without supporting them (not including those who subscribe or donate). I just can't really understand it...

It's insulting to the staff to accuse them of being, "less than legitimate" or whatever else I've read skimming through this topic. This site is run by fans for fans who either get paid too little for what they do, or don't get paid at all. Don't be retarded and disable your fucking adblock.

It can't be guaranteed that clickable links will be safe (half the reason to fucking have adblock to begin with). But there's another problem-- the recent "remove adblock" campaign prevents me from even viewing stream content unless I remove adblock. Why should I have to deal with that on TL, especially when I can go directly to the content generator's website to the view that same content and support them directly? I should not have to put my computer at risk in order to view free content, especially when it is third party content. And this doesn't support eSports--it supports TL (I also wonder how much of the ad revenue from streams goes to the content creators? if any, will they be pleased to learn that TL is essentially blocking access to their content for its own gain?). So a loud message to TL: do not ever ask anyone to not utilize a feature on their computer that is desirable for both its convenience and the added safety it provides to the user for your benefit--it makes you look less than legitimate.
