This post makes zero sense and you are 100% wrong. First, if you had ad-block disabled in the first thing you'd never even see that elephant in the first place. More importantly, THE ONLY THING TL DOES WITH IT'S PROCEEDS IS INVEST IN E-SPORTS! So... yeah, not sure how it doesn't "directly invest its assets to esports." I am also quite sad that TL has changed what the little banner says. It is 100% valid for it to say that by add-blocking TL you are hurting E-SPORTS. Not pumping revenue into E-SPORTS, hurts E-SPORTS, and TL directly puts their money into supporting things like TL Open, the TSLs, the team Team Liquid, and running/improving this site (aka esports). I am saying I ad-block the elephant. Honestly, doesn't TL have a lot of revenue already through the special forum that has 'special offers'? Nazul claims that this site is not-for-profit, but frankly I think the recent practice of aggressive ad campaigns by TL suggests otherwise: is TL losing so much money per month that it can no longer sustain itself? No. Despite the recent influx of visitors, I don't ever see this ever being brought up. Instead, the elephant is just a sad excuse to maximize profit.

TL has ~200 volunteers and wants to become the ESPN of eSports, they can't do that without having more and more paid employees, and they can't do that without more than one form of revenue.

TL definitely meets its users halfway by not plastering its site in banners for a little extra money, dealing with a few unobtrusive ads are the least you can do in return.

Who are you to say you know how TL's revenues and expenditures work. 2. Many not-for-profit organisations have very large revenues: think NGOs. Just because they have 'aggressive ad campaigns' does not suggest that they are for-profit. Your logic would suggest that the thousands upon thousands of charities and NGOs that advertise aggressively must be for-profit organisations --- which is simply absurd. You might want to have a look at what for-profit means, because it has nothing to do with where an organisation gets its money. 3. You have said nothing to defend your statement that TL does not invest directly in E-SPORTS.
