We are extremely close to shutting down this thread for the same reasons the PUA thread was shut down. While some of the time this thread contains actual discussion with people asking help and people giving nice advice, it often gets derailed by rubbish that should not be here. The moderation team will be trying to steer this thread in a different direction from now on. Posts of the following nature are banned: 1) ANYTHING regarding PUA. If your post contains the words 'alpha' or 'beta' or anything of that sort please don't hit post. 2) Stupid brags. You can tell us about your nice success stories with someone, but posts such as 'lol 50 Tinder matches' are a no-no. 3) Any misogynistic bullshit, including discussion about rape culture. 4) One night stands and random sex. These are basically brags that invariably devolve into gender role discussions and misogynistic comments. Last chance, guys. This thread is for dating advice and sharing dating stories. While gender roles, sociocultural norms, and our biological imperative to reproduce are all tangentially related, these subjects are not the main purpose of the thread. Please AVOID these discussions. If you want to discuss them at length, go to PMs or start a blog. If you disagree with someone's ideologies, state that you disagree with them and why they won't work from a dating standpoint and move on. We will not tolerate any lengthy derailments that aren't directly about dating.

It's a sign that she's super clingy and is going to try and control your life. It's funny? It's funny? Jesus chirst, wake up people.

Cliffs: We met up for drinks. We literally talked politics for 3 hours. It's a shame that what I find interesting to talk about and what is good first date talk so rarely match up. Queue Venn diagram. That said, conversation was good and easy. I'm attracted to her, but it felt more like a platonic 'meet up for drinks' than a date. I'm fine with physical contact and intimacy, but terrible at 'escalating'. It didn't help that she was (her word) 'awkward' as well. Despite that, she did say she would like to when I suggested meeting again. Let's see where this goes.

If she does meet up with you again all you have to do is pick a date where you aren't sitting down face to face with each other, but moving through space together.

Seeing as she's English, you can understand why I accidentally turned cue into queue there. And we touched on queueing as a national sport over there for a second, so I might have actually been talking about Queue Venn diagrams :D. I'm taking your advice to heart and we're going to a museum on Wednesday. I actually got in touch with her to ask her out, and I was still in the 'talking about our days' stage when she beat me to it. That has to be a good sign at least.

It's just a LemOn thing. He advocates never texting/instant messaging but only talking when meeting in person, and the occasional necessary phonecall for setting these dates up. Obviously not all women/relationships are the same, but this is a concept LemOn does not understand. If your girl likes chatting, chat.
