You have services like Rapidshare, Netload, Megaupload, Wupload, fileserve, filesonic, x7, ul, and so forth since ages. Rapidshare is up since 2004, with a revenue of 5 million euro per month and is ranked in the top 100 in traffic rank (most of the time).

Torrenting has already declined a bit because of legal issues, it's become dangerous to tempt your chance with them for no reason.
