Plan to work for a year or two after and then apply to medical school. You know I did just about the same thing... Well I went for Bio Chemistry instead but med school was definitely the goal. Had the grades and everything to get in but I have yet to meet a Doctor that didn't look completely run through. So then I applied to be a police officer quite randomly and through some miracle made it through on my first try and now I "help" people for a living.

I hate it, and currently am following a different career path. It's good money but not great. Fun is a big word for describing it's work, and if you have high standards of what fun is, then it's really a bottom feeder job for experiencing the exciting things in life. Progress is slow, hours can be long, and its very dull work, and this is coming from a worker in a successful telecom dev team in Canada. I used to think studying and becoming an engineer was baller. I used to be proud of it, even though I mildly enjoyed it. But after working in the field for a few years, I've realized it is not an exciting or interesting lifestyle of work for me anymore. I want something more. I now feel sorry for the average student who say they're taking engineering and have high aspirations for their field of study, especially in the workforce.

Good luck woking on your "Componits and Stuff" sir. I aspire to be an audio engineer, making at least enough money to survive and (hopefully) enjoying good music every night of my life. Once I'd accumulated enough cash though I would probably end up aspiring to 'Do Nothing' for the later years.
